During the early part of the Dominion War, the Changelings began taking over officers in high ranking positions within the Federation... from the rank of Lieutenant Commander and up. Many ships wound up being over taken, and the USS ODYSSEY happened to be one of them. The ships Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and the rest of the senior staff were overtaken by changelings. During one staff meeting, the two officers who weren't changelings began to suspect what had happened. After the meeting, Amy Hondo and Jessie Alberts met in private to discuss the situation... and to decide what to do to fix it. A few days later, they had rallied what was left of the ships crew and had overthrown the command staff. Placing the officers in the brig under strict gaurd. Jessie was killed during the initial take over. Once Amy had succeeded, she contacted Starfleet Command and headed back for Earth. The prisoners were transfered to Fleet Security, and Amy was then promoted and given the USS ODYSSEY in light of what had transpired aboard ship. Now the year is 2374 and the Federation is in the midst of this terrible war with the Dominion. The Enterprise and the Odyssey lead Starfleet forces against the Dominion and Cardassian vessels, hoping to stop this war and end the hostilities that threaten to rip the Federation apart.
