If you mean a matter/antimatter reactor or new source of power, you're a bit premature.

Smashing atoms is one thing. Making the collisions produce power is quite another.

We're a long ways off from having a reactor like on 'Star Trek'.
Fusion may be closer, though I'm not guessing how close, because funding is variable.

Sometimes people can miss the solution for a problem becuase their perseption is limited. Therefore once there's a bump in the road they give up, and nothing is easy. keep trying.
