I think a new generation post Voyager is the way to go. Star fleet discovers a worm hole into the Delta quadrant thus growing the Federation and defeating the Borg!

They did defeat the Borg, didn't they? The Queen's ship blew up when Voyager went through that wormhole. At least I think it did.
