I HAD THE GREAT HONOR OF WORKING WITH HIM SOME TIME AGO IN A SHOW CALLED"HOME BOYS FROM OUTTER SPACE".

Scotty actor James Doohan¿s ashes lost in rocket failure
Ashes of the late James Doohan, who played the role of "Scotty" in the popular Star Trek science-fiction series, have gone missing when a rocket carrying them into space malfunctioned.

SpaceX, a firm that does a special space burial service, was launching the actor¿s ashes into space but the craft carrying them got into trouble just minutes after take-off.


This was the second time part of Doohan's ashes had been lost. The actor had requested what was to be done with his remains in his will.

The Canadian film and television star died of Alzheimer's disease and pneumonia in July 2005 at the age of 85.

Another 208 people had also paid to have their ashes, as well as those of James Doohan, sent into space aboard Falcon 1.

The rocket was launched from Kwajalein Atoll in the Pacific Ocean and SpaceX's engineers are still investigating what went wrong.
