It would be if they just started on this game, BUT they have 5 years worth of data to work with, even if they didn't get the code. CS has their own codes to use, and a great DEV team.  ;)

Cryptic is working on STO and the countdown is for a reveal for their plans for the title.

I might be jumping the gun, but thinking ahead to the beta. I wonder what chance any of us has at getting into it. Is there something that I could do to put myself into a good position to be invited?

i know you don't really believe that PE was working on STO since '04'? getting STO ready for release to concide with the movie release will spell trouble. Criptic (unofficially) might be good, but they aren't that good. not without someone forking over hugh amounts of money and Criptic (unofficially) even going as far as to get help from another developer. otherwise it should be business as usual, and take about 3 to 5 to develop since aquisition.
