Got all of mine on ebay for 75quid, japanese version but just as good

Thats all well and good, but if the dvd's are not within the dvd player "region", well, they're no good.

The VOY dvd bootlegs from korea, or china or wherever have a problem not being region 1, which happens to be USA region.

But I'm glad it worked for you bekK.

Pick up a Philips multi-regional player then. They're around $40 in Best Buy and they play ALL regions

Over 95% of all dvd players can have their region coding disabled via a remote control hack. It's usually just a matter of punching in the right sequence of buttons on the remote to bring up a secret menu. From there you can set the player's region to anything including 0 which is all regions. Usually once you disable region coding, most of them will do a pretty good job at converting PAL to NTSC and vice versa. There are forums online devoted exclusively to dvd player hacks, ya just gotta look for them. My last 3 dvd players ( a Panasonic, Toshiba, and Sony) were all region 1 NTSC machines when I bought them, after entering the remote hack, they'd all play whatever I threw at them.

Also, 98% of all bootleg dvd's sold globally come out of China and Hong Kong. I've probably seen at least a half dozen different bootleg versions for each Trek series and I've never known a single one that wasn't region-free.

They arrived in perfect condition.   I think the lower price is a limited month long thing.  Some promotion called cosmos or something like that.  There is a specific scifi area of the site w/ it.  So anyone else out there, time is running short!  These aren't from private sellers or used.  They are sold by amazon.

Thanks for all the input guys!
