I liked Kes, but I like Seven better. And as much as I'd have liked her to stay, I don't think the special Doctor and Seven bond would have been possible. I also like Neelix's character alot especially after she left. But I have no problems with Kes, I just thought her mental powers were a little weird towards the end.

On the Homecoming, she sometimes got the characters right which was nice. I guess the plotline I felt was entirely stupid in my opinion and didn't contain that Voyager-esqe about it. I think sometimes these authors forget they are writing a Star Trek novel. The entire thing with Chakotay kinda pushed it over the top and Icheb's character was very different. He was 17 or 18 and the book treated him like he was in the 5th grade.

I just didn't feel like the actions the characters took were accurate I guess.

I don't think that Golden is to blame for the ruining of several Voyager characters. That was already made in the series, in "Endgame" among many episodes.

There was nothing ruined about the characters during/after Endgame; Christie Golden single-handedly took care of ruining a lot.

Compared to Braga and Fuller, she almost deserves a Nobel Prize in literature.

To coin a Trek phrase, she is literally LIGHT-YEARS away from being worthy of a Nobel...

One question: Why should Kes be in the book anyway? She went from VOY in season 4...

there is no reason for her to be in any books in the future. The character was unpopular and she would be dead anyway.

She was not unpopular. Maybe in your little dictatorship where you and your mobbing friends scares away fans of the character from this forum but not out in the big world where she has a lot of fans, a fact which was proved by the letter campaign to have her re-instated as a regular character again.

That letter writing was so successful wasn't it? I think I missed when they made her a regular character again though.

and you don't think there will be babysitters in the future? How will the human race survive if nobody has kids? Maybe if you actualy read the books you would have seen that even though they had a baby, like billions of other people in the world, that they were still able to do their jobs. B'Elanna was able to persue her study like she wanted and Tom was even first officer of Voyager. All with a baby, how shocking!!!!!

Yes, of course you have to mock me for that somewhat unsuccessful letter campaign.

Does it feel good to be so mean?

The failure of the letter campaign can't be blamed on thusands of Kes fans, only The Idiots In Charge who more and less spat in our faces.

I'm sure that it made you happy!

if you know the letter campaign was so unsuccessful, why would you even bring it up

Just to show some evil Kes-hater that the character has a lot of fans.

The campaign didn't result because The Idiots In Charge did choose to insult the Kes fans instead of fulfilling their noble wishes.

Now that must have pleased you, didn't it. It must feel good that people you hate were dismissed by your "gods".

Malice is one of your most endearing qualities.
