It'll probably be tossed around until someone actually takes it up and makes it regardless of what fans say.

Yeah. That SUCKS. Why in the world pay so much for a license (I am sure it cost a pretty penny) and then do nothing?

Just to say you did it? I doubt CBS will renew any contract with them. Especially when Abrams gets involved with the Trek movie game and trek becomes more recognized by the public.

Why would Abrams have anything to do with the game? I pre###t Star Trek XI actually doing worse than Star Trek X anyway, and that's a very bad sign if it does in fact go that way.

For the record, any forum that censors the word P-R-E-D-I-C-T is a kiddy forum.

Mmmmm yes he is. I would look for the interview but I don't have the interest in doing so. STGU reported on it a while back. As did Trekmovie.

Bethesda had better not be developing this game.  if they do it will be even worse than perpetual doing it.

They ruined star trek legacy and star trek gaming for the PC.  Yes STO will be released but it will be a failer and i for one wont be buying it.

There is no link.

The OP remains true, of course. Cryptic it is not, my source there confirmed it. Of course, you don't have to believe me, I certainly wouldnt believe me. But it is true.

I, for one, hope it is Cryptic, and your sources are incorrect. CoX is one of my favorite games and I think they would do a good job with the IP.

But, then again, I don't have any sources at Cryptic, so your information is probably more valid than mine.

Which sucks :(

ColonelGraff even if you do have people in Cryptic, but you think they are on a information lockdown? Meaning no one is to talk about there secret scifi project they are doing. If this is the case, maybe someone can lose their job if they let anything out of the bag, including saying they are in fact making STO.

We know someone got the rights to make the game, and all fingers are pointing at Cryptic right now. Besides, how many online game companies are in the bay area? I think we can pretty much narrow the field down a bit on who has STO now.

I do have a source at Cryptic, they're doing it!!!! Initial word was that some sort of announcement would be made a GDC. I assume that we'll hear something at the very least by E3.

I know that I'm not offering any information to validate me as something more than a jerk on a message board, but I'd be a bigger jerk if I revealed my source. Not that I really know much. What I do know gives me a lot more hope for the project than I had when Perpetual was in charge. Besides, it sounds like Cryptic will/has already acquired key Perpetual talent.
