Thank you, so this whole fleet is only a couple days old? Hey Galli do you remember me? I used the name John Dax on the U.S.S Phoenix in late 2006.. I think your AIM name was startrekdude1991 or something like that.

Well, after several years experience, I have found, and this comes from playing in these departments (I've played everything except science and helm) that these departments find themselves with very little to do. Also, as a pacifist in real life, I don't want my crew always trying to solve the problems of the missions with violence which I feel marine charecters tend to lead the plot towards. Also, neither have any real cannon basis, so I find it best to shy away from it. . . Y'know what I mean? Now, I am looking for plenty of civilians for this simm, because it is a starbase, meaning a hefty civilian population. If you have questions, feel free to pm me. By the way, we have all positions open aside from CO XO 2XO CEO CSecO A-CSecO Computer Systems Specialist (our own Mr. Darklighter) And of course Helm due to the fact that we're a Star Base, And Marine, Intelligence, and Starfighter Wing. lol...well Dante...when 8472 decides to rampage your little Security men can try dealing with them...Ill take my Marines and Special Forces any day.
And there may not be a canon basis for Marines (which technically there is), there is for Special Forces, the MACOs from ENT certainly look like Marines or SpecOps to me.

Well, like I said, it's a personal prefrence. As for species 8472? We're in the Alpha Quadrent. Last I checked, we've got a bit of distance from 8472. I feel my security officers, one of which being a female romulan can stop any threats to public security on the station. And if it comes down to it, my XO is a 5'11" female Andorian with a bit of a Napoleon Complex. I'm safe.
