It doesn't look anything like the prop. What happened to the hair? Why is it silver?

Probably just had makeup and a wig put on it actually, which was likely removed for storage.

The head in the show had a window on the back near the top Picard scratched a message into. Data was gold why paint it silver :question:

Its probuly fake, and wasnt the head used multiple times, like for B4? This is probuly a fake.

It's possible that the head was always silver and that appliances were added to it so that it would look like Data's skin.

Having said that, I am not sure if this item is legit or not.

I know I would definitely question its authenticity, including that sketchy looking Certificate of Authenticity.

Why would anyone pay that kind of money for a "head" that looks nothing like what it did in the episode as described?
