also the next generation (the teenagers, my group) just are not interested in Star Trek. Many at my school view it as a cheap rip off of Star Wars (which is completely off! ) Others just think it's just stupid. Apparantly teenagers need a source of constant violence and sex for them to be interested in anything nowadays.... :( Tis a shame that Star Trek may very well die out with my generation...

I must agree,  each year  I too keep a bit of trek on my desk.  I enjoyed it every year.  It was my way of non-conformity to the corporate world....   Let us hope it will be brought back.   If it is,  I will definitely spend my latinum for one!

As the space time continuum shuddered, a lone Ferengi vessel fell out of warp.  The crew became dumbfounded as bars of latinum began dissolving, one by one.  Deep in the Kazon territory of the Delta Quandrant, sect after sect terrorized the nomadic warriors as they each began winking out of existence.  The Time Traveler struck in impenetrable barrier without any time or dimension to shift to.

Gone are the Borg, the Vulcan, the Cardassian, the Tribble, and the entire fleet of the Federation as the last page of the 2007 Star Trek Desktop Calendar is pulled.

It was fun while it lasted.

A solution would be to publish fewer numbers so the demand becomes greater than the supply, sending a message to the publishing company they are still wanted. Andrews McMeel is the publisher, maybe if enough of us send a complaint they will bring it back next year.

I always had the calendar on my nightstand so I would know what day it was. The desktop calendars are much easier than the monthly ones to keep track of the days because you just tear off the next day, no pens needed to make an ugly "X" on the day...

I saved all my old calendars, maybe I'll just put the days back in order and re-use them when the days and dates line up again properly...

Quote (NCC_Dude @ Nov. 30 2007, 9:56 pm)
For the past decade, I've carried a little piece of Star Trek with me each day through the Star Trek Desk Calendar.

For 2008, it appears that one is not available.

I'd like to know what dropping of a Ceti eel in the offices of Pocket Books, Andrews McMeel Publishing, Simon and Schuster, and Parmount decided to pull the plug on a 2008 Edition.

Believe it or not, I actually have a life; its just that one small piece of it has been removed.

So just as Suv tlhIngan po', I hope that others may have the same disdain for this as I and are willing to express it.

Live Long and Prosper

There are two sets of 2008 Star Trek Calenders available right now at

Thanks Josh,

If I were to win one of the full wall calendars in the Community giveaway section, I'd hang it with pride.  However, I'm with ladymach29 regarding the preference for a daily desktop calendar.

spacebunny has certainly provided a constructive approach with the idea of some type of letter/message campaign towards Andrews McMeel.  The squeaky nancil gets the dylithium and all that.

Unfortunately, it looks like those that want it will have to do it themselves if they want one.

Q needs to judge Andrews McMeel rather than mankind (for those that saw the last page of the 2007 desktop calendar). LOL

Hey, let me know an email address or something and I'll write them saying how much I miss the calendar.

Ugh, I am sitting at my desk looking at a blank space that used to house my 365 day trek calendar....

I was sad to find out that they didn't make one. I was happy every morning looking at a new picture... luckily I found a ships of the line wall calander so I'm not too depressed.
