Hello. ¿I got into the series just over the summer. ¿I've been watching TOS, TNG & Voyager with regularity. ¿It's been kinda hard to pick up the story arcs of DS9 & Enterprise midseason. ¿So I'm really mostly interested in the storylines of TOS, TNG & Voyager.

Can you please recommend a few books dealing with those specific stories. ¿Particularly Voyager. ¿I read here on the boards that Capt. Janeway becomes an Admiral Janeway (not refering to Kathrines father mind you). ¿I also read the same about Lt. Cmd. Will Riker. ¿But I don't think those happen in the shows. ¿I only assume they happen in books. I'm interested to see where authors took the characters after their series ended. ¿Thanks for the help.

Actually, the elevation of Riker to captain and Janeway to admiral comes from the movie Star Trek Nemesis, though the fiction has run with both. :)

be careful with the VOY re-launch novels by christie golden.  they've gotten mixed reviews by VOY fans. i thought they were decent, but the problem is that she hasn't written a VOY book since 2003 and literally left the story in proverbial mid-sentence for the last two books. lots of stuff that you could tell would be continued in a next book, but the problem is that she didn't feel like writing another VOY book (per her website) and so far she apparently still has no plans in the near future. it's really been a disappointment to VOY fans to have been let down like this.

I dont know if you got a blockbuster or netflicks subscription, but i have found that those are good ways to watch a series. And its realtivly cheap. Blockbuster is 19.25 a month, and I have watched all of sopranoes, House, and Oz. And now i am regoing through voyager. Next is Babylon 5.

I second the fact that those are excellent books.
I'm in the middle of Spirit Walk 2: Enemy of My Enemy.  They've been delightful and really true to the characters.

I just finished Homecoming & The Farther Shore.  Overall I really enjoyed the books.  It made me angry how the crew was treated upon their return home.  silly I know.  I liked how Golden tied everything up.  I am upset that she didn't reveal whether or not Harry ever found out who his contact Peregrine actually was.  Hopefully there is some sort of resolution to that in the Spirit Walk books.
