$689 x 2 tickets $135 x 6 nights $300 x 2 plane tickets $200 food for 5 nights for two $???? vendors ------------------------------- without buying anything there that's $3,000 I realy realy realy want to go, but that's more than I can afford in the near future since I'm starting a business. Maybe I'll go in '09

well I don't know if it's too much for a con in Vegas, but it's definately more than I can spare right now. I'm sure when i go it will be even more money than that  Plus I tend to spend a looooot of money at the tables

Well, you don't HAVE to have gold tickets. That would take your price down by nearly $1,400.

I know I spend it on photo ops and, um I gamble...lol. I agree with you Gold is the way to go!

I took Captain's Chair for the last 2 years and they were really good. I don't think I'd ever go for Gold.
I'm also considering other hotels. Even with cab fare (don't know if I'd walk) the price difference is incredible. The Hilton is really pricey for the con.

Well if you really do want to go, you might have to be a mere peasant and settle for Captain's Chair.

but it's just part of the whole experience. The other cons I've gone to I've gone Gold and I would never go any other way. I'd rather wait a while and save up to go Gold then go now for less. But to each his own.

 To those of you who do not know, the monorail is in the Hilton and does go to other hotels that are reasonably priced that time of year. you just have to get up earlier.....
