What REALLY would happen if aliens Attacked

> id="QUOTE">As for Cull the population for food, you are making a false assumption that their biology would be similar to earth base organism to be a food source.

Or they have to have really good sensors.

would have to pretty good, since SETA has been on going for over 30 years and detected no indication of other civilization.

At best it take decades of studying a star to see if it may even contain a planet...

It a massive task, one that is not easily done by any race without FTL travel.

I'll admit it............if they look attractive why not get laid by one of their females.  Just to experience what sex is like with another species...................... purely scientific work  ;)

Even if you needed biological worker, looking at WWII the Nazi attempt to use slave in production of V1 and V2 rockets resulted in only 1 in 10 rockets being usable. Sabotage, lack of proper skill and general poor workmanship resulted in more rocket lost than in all the allies attempt to destroy them from bombing the site from the air.

Two assumptions in one: 1) that they're electronics research would yield something within the scope of our understanding, or even be capable or assembly by humans (2) That slaves would be applied to the construction of said technology. ¿There are other uses for slaves outside the realm of advance electronics.

Do yo think if a FTL or generational ship dropped out of the sky today, there is a human on the planet that could possibly understand the technology enough to subvert it much less would have the access to it?

Ever heard of GM corn? Hormone and selectively breed beef or chicken? ¿Take the same principle and apply it to the human race. ¿If they're capable of survival on Earth, they're will be able to ingest our food stuff or modify them or us to that need.

If this is the case why have slave? basically they would not be able to perform any task that requires interaction with technology of thier civilization.

Generation ship would imply that they donot have power sources greater than either fusion or fission..

While a nuke detonated inside one would insure that end of their race..

How do you come to that conclusion, their biology could be totally different from our!! just on our planet there are a hosts of animals, and plant life that is deadly for human consumption.

If they are made of mirror proteins and hydrocarbons, consuming earth base life form would be as same as eating inert matter, it would pass right thru their system..

As it stand if they come here it not to take slaves..

You're assuming that they wouldn't take slaves if they came here. ¿We might be the perfect thing to ¿use to mine some ore they need or whatever other minimal grunt work they need. ¿Slavery could very well be a secondary byproduct-- as it was in much of our own world's explorations-- of their coming here.

No it would imply that they don't have a FTL based drive, they might have power sources well in advance of fusion power still yet. ¿ And by design a Generational ship would have to be hardened against much more than a nuclear blast to survive a longterm interstellar journey.

Not if they crack the tech and come up with better tech than we understand. ¿Hell in a century, we might perfect enclosed-ecosystem technology.

if they could star travel or even space travel mining ore on a planet is waste, a single asteriod would provide more mineral wealth than what could be found on the surface of our planet and would be far easier to get to for a space farering culture.

Slavery is not a by product of exploration, in the USA slavery was introduct to till farm lands, slave were brought from africa not from the conquest poeple.

Spain enslaved natives to mine for wealth, as soon as the silver and gold was exhaust slavery stopped.

But in the case of the USA it was the industrial age and the increase placement of machines in manufacturing that made it less attractive to have slave.

If aliens need manual labor it would be far easier to paid us to do the work than to conquer us and maintain a constant vigil against slave revolts.

As for nuclear power star drive, Nuclear power is already used to generate power for civilian use!!! Bad example. Even fusion power is being develop for same use...!!!!

While nuclear reactor on board ships are standard light water reactor used all over the usa and canadian manfacture by GE!!!

Also design for nuclear power aircraft , trains and even aircraft are already in existant. What prevent their use is the hazard of nuclear radiation and the weight of shielding require.
But that has not stop their use where there is no danger of exposuret  such as nuclear power Pace makers implanted in some peoples chest.

while the fear of Nuclear power has dampen their use, the reality of Global warming has once again cause a demand for more and more use of Atomic power. Here is a perfect case of Usefulness over coming culture taboo and fears and if we ever get back to the moon, He2 would allow us to build Fusion reactor that could be used in your car, since the fusion cycle of He2 give off no hazardous radiation.

While the whole taboo things is nonsense, they would have a taboo to using robots but not one against using what would BEM (Bug Eye Monster) !!!

We have become very adept at detecting radio signal and all sorts of radiation form all over the spectrum  and we haven't even come close to detecting anything, anywhere near us. Therefore, if an alien civilization did in fact manage to come upon us tomorrow, they have the capability of traveling vast distances in the blink of an eye. Ergo, if they can do that, they could wipe out all life on this planet without batting an eyelash (if they even have eyelashes) and we'd never even know it was coming.

Not if they crack the tech and come up with better tech than we understand. ¿Hell in a century, we might perfect enclosed-ecosystem technology.

1. Keep this in mind: if they've developed an FTL drive, they've already developed what is essentially a "magic level" technology.  And why would a society completely dedicate all of its development to something like the conquest of other worlds without developing good manufacturing and resource gathering technologies first?  If they didn't like their own planet, why would they like others?

2. Earth is POOR compared to the asteroid belt.  The amount of resources they could pull out of our planet wouldn't justify the cost of making the trip with an invasion fleet.  It wouldn't even come close.

3. If they're able to make the trip, they're going to have to either have amazing cryogenic technology or a highly effective way of supplying food (or preserving massive quantities of it).  They'll also need very efficient recycling systems.  So Earth has little value for that.

4. If we assume that for whatever reason they've sacrificed all other areas of technical development in favor of building a stardrive... how do they build the ship?  Building an interstellar ship planetside is going to take way too much fuel to get away from the gravity well, and building one in orbit when you can't depend on an atmosphere or gravity is no small feat.  Robotic assembly systems are pretty much a must.

The idea of an "advanced in one or two areas, primitive in others" is only credible up to a certain point before it becomes the subject of cheap science fiction.

If we can rely upon UFOlogy so far: they take the prime directive to heart and tend to be Janite - do not kill something that values its life as much as your own.

Our bullets don't seem to phase their aircraft, thus we are no threat to them, and when we probably were on a collision course (that might hurt them) they destroyed the aircraft with one shot...and no signs of the crew in the wreckage - perhaps saved by the benevolent aliens who knew they were "just following orders."

I believe we are visited and that one species is doing the biological testing. Why? What would our explorers making that first warp jump do if they end up somewhere and can't get back home. Ultimately, they would do a Kirk and get it on with the locals. But they are even uglier than Klingons, well a little bio engineering might fix that as well as erase biological environmental threats like immunity and atmospheric respiration tolerances.

Under current circumstances, "Resistence would be futile" but the human potential to persevere is strong...like "V" we would compromise and should the need arise resist. What can they do if they are the only ones? What can we do if they can send for reinforcements? Keep our faith in God and pray that our strength in numbers and home-ground advantage will be enough.
