one of my videos was shown for the video contest;

Sorry, I know this is a little off topic, but now that I saw other people's videos, I wanna make one!  How does one do it?  Do you need any special video software?  You can PM me with the info if the answer is too long.  I'd appreciate any help I can get on getting started.  Thanks!  :-)

It was good but dragged some days.  Next year 5 days!?!?

Braga was interesting.  He said he didn't like the last ep. of Enterprise and it was a mistake.  Plus, he killed Trip b/c he was his favorite character and as he knew the show was ending he said, "What the heck?"

Ronald Moore was in the secondary room.  He explained the f/x and brought props and had a slideshow.  He showed how he shook a silver pompom to make the transporter.  Also, other funny things like how he used a flashlight in the inside of a pipe in the 'microbrain' ep. of TNG.  Also, I kid you not, how he used dog poop to make a brown planet...

Its a shame I missed Mr. Moore's presentation.  It sounded very informative and intresting. :(

I listed my experiences under the Creation Las Vegas thread.  Many pros and cons.  Personally, for $$$ value and good times, I enjoyed Vulkon better.  The star selection and the dealer rooms were better at the Vegas Con but I liked the simplicity, lower cost, and access to stars at Vulkon so much more.

I have a PC with Adobe Premier 6.0... It includes a cable that hooks into my computer with RCA and DV inputs and outputs. I use my Playstation 2 as a DVD player ¿and record clips from my Star Trek DVDs, and then I use the editing software to form a video, then I send it through the outputs to a VHS or DVD recorder and presto! ¿I have a music video.

It takes me about two months working an hour or so after work each night to make a 4 or 5 minute music video. My wife is encouraging me to post them on Youtube or something-- when I do, I will leave a message on this board.

The vendors were disappointing to me, too. The Uhura dress I wanted so badly was there and it costed $120! They didn't even have any children's uniforms.. Did anyone else find William and Leonard boring as hell? Not to mention the questions from the audience.

I think William and Leonard started good, but ended slow.

My husband and I have been here since Friday night and have had a great time. So far, the highlights have been getting our picture taken with Brent Spiner,, seeing him perform with Frakes and last night's Philharmonic performance... except Nana Visitor. She came out and starting singing a song from Chicago, poorly I might add, and then got into her divorce and 9/11, totally killing the atmosphere. My husband and I had the giggles like crazy and could hardly contain ourselves, when all of a sudden, some morbidly obese man sitting next to us ripped ### at a completely silent part of the song.. I thought we were going to lose it. By the way, I have never seen so many horse asses and belly boobs than I have here. Well, thats all for now.

Your version of the concert is right on...I love Nana but the style of her singing did not work for her voice.  It was a weird love tale that she was going through and then she announces that her new hubby is playing the piano as she drudges up her old feeling for her ex which I guess is Siddig...I thought that was kind of funny.  I was actually falling asleep during the concert except that it was freezing in there.  The after party was fun except there was a weird guy that sat at our table that kept going up to the actors and snapping pictures and blinding them.  And then the weirdo accused the other people at the table of going through his bag of treasures while he was busy blinding the actors.  Help me, I hope none of the actors thought that we knew this goofball.

SKIP the Welcoming Dessert party, it's a waste of money.  Tim Russ was a gentleman at the party to say NOTHING of his onstage performance in which he did nothing but promote his new children's book and then left!  He played his music at the party but acoustics in that room was NOT very good for a concert.  And the desserts sucked!  I wrote more in the other thread...

Will post pics (I think all are ok but Kate M. Couldn't get a good one) & YouTube urls when I upload this weekend.

Con was good but not as exciting as last year (prob. b/c I knew what to expect). 5 days next year....oy!

Wil Wheaton was hilarious. Totally deconstructed the ep: "Justice" in hysterical and profane ways. They put him in this small room (not main con room) at 6:45pm after the rest of the day was over. The rumor is they were ticked at him b/c he won't do photo ops so they shoved him over to the side.

Terry Farrell looked gorgeous. She said she'd gained some weight. What!?!? Is a homemaker raising a kid. Admitted she never has to work again after DS9 and Becker. Also, said she left b/c of the $. Nice to hear the truth! Said it had nothing to do w/creative differences. Also told us she's 6' tall.

Gates McFadden was fun. Told us why she left. Not for $ but b/c she felt Wesley should come to her for mentoring not to male characters. One writer or producer (she didn't say who) disagreed. She said, "It's him or me." TPTB chose him. The next year, they changed their mind and said, "Gates, we choose you."

Kate M. flew in and out pretty quickly as she's in a new play. Here's the URL if anyone is interested:
