hi all,

new to these boards, just kind of looking for some help.  i have a 25th anniversary laser disc box set, containing the first 5 movies and limited to 10,000 copies, here's a link

http://www.lddb.com/laserdi....lection

on the front, i have four autographs, shatner, nimoy, kelley and doohan.  my goal back when i got this was to get the "big seven" all on the front but after doohan, i just never completed.

the "big three" signings we're all obtained at once at a convention in sacramento with what i believe was billed as the last tour of the three together.  doohan signed actually before that at a convention in san francisco.  i believe i have the sacramento ticket in the box which shows the "upcharge" paid to get the big three to sign.

so, just wondering what something like this might be worth, four autographs, one collectible.

many thanks all, t

If you can authenticate the signatures, Doohan and Kelley autographs alone retail at $300 each from Creation Entertainment. Shatner and Nimoy retail around $70. Not sure about the collectable.

Also, understand that you will never get retail prices if you choose to sell it. At auction, expect about 60%.

Hope that helps.

Creation overcharges everything, for Kelly alone, you can get his for about $200 on ebay, Doohan is about $100 (maybe a little less), and Shatner and Nimoy are probably about $50 on ebay. But because they're all grouped on one item, you probably wont get as much, so expext $300 tops. Autographs just dont sell like they used to :)

The real answer is, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you put it up on ebay I wouldn't be surprised if it sold realy well especialy with Doohan and Keley's autoraphs

I was at that same Sacramento Convention.  I had shatner sign a photo with a gold pen. The pen exploded while he was signing it.  It has half of his signature, when the ball of the pen fell out.  I still have it, and the ball of the pen is still stuck in the dryed ink.  =)  That was my 2nd or 3 convention.  I had a good time.      :)

yeah, it was my first convention actually.  didn't think i'd get a chance again to see those three all at once.  i have such a great memory of that signing.

the first line back stage was for shatner and nimoy.  after those two signed, you had to stand in a second line for kelley who at that time was really starting to have his age catch up to him so he was signing much slower.

when i got to the front of the first line and came face to face with The Shat, his head was down, i handed my item and pen, his eyes only (didn't move his head) rolled up to look at me with a look of... it looked like he had just smelled a fart!  at that moment i realized that what you read about him and his contempt of fans was actually true.  i didn't really give two sh*ts, i found it very amusing actually.

i side stepped over to nimoy who was greeting every fan with a hello and a thank you after he signed the goods; a class act.

back to the end of the second line and when i finally got up front (and by that time, The Shat and nimoy had finished and got out of there), kelley had a handler really close, i handed my item and my silver pen (black sharpie wouldn't show on my black item) and asked if he could please use my pen.  the handler repeated into his ear and sounding very much his age said "oh, use his pen?  ok"  another class act and i my heart went out to him.

good memories of each all around
