Two new MMO Betas have opened and are currently recruiting users.

First up, the new game Fury, It's a "third-person slasher" where the focus is on fun! (And killing.) In Fury there are no class systems and each character has the ability to learn over 400 awesome moves to demolish opponents. There are also several modes of play, including "Bloodbath," which is a virtual free-for-all of gore and guts.

On the other end of the spectrim is Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising, where you get to take on the identity of a Roman warrior. As a fighting machine of mythological proportion, the game allows you to gather "minions" and use them to declare war on other players. The fights also utilizes super sweet combat animation, so instead of using the same repetitive motions over and over, you can unleash special attacks.

A few others..

Age of Conan http://beta1.ageofconan.com/beta_application/
Speaking of gore and guts, probably the first M rated and dx10 mmog that will be released, which features a somewhat free targeting combat system, in which you face where you want to attack and can use combos and attacks to do stuff like decapitate enemies. PvP and city sieges, horse formation attacks, drunken brawling.

Tabula Rasa http://www.playtr.com/beta/index.html
A hybrid fps combat set in a scifi world. Hybrid fps because your targeting reticule will sticky onto a target once you mouse close to them, you will be able to use the surrounding area to defend yourself. Mostly Pve but you can be involved in raids for territory control against the computer race called the Bane. Made by the guy that did the Ultima series.

Pirates of the burning sea http://www.flyinglab.com/pirates/beta.php
Pirates! is there anymore to say? lol You will be able to take out your own ships, do quests to make ports political situations unstable, and then be able to conquer the port through pvp with other nations of England, France, Spain, and even pirates.

The guy doing Tabula Rasa you mentioned in case anyone was curious is Richard Garriot. The man behind the Ultima Saga.

Thanks for the list there.

Yeah Lord British :)
Only been hearing good stuff about Tabula so far of what little I can find, though a NDA is still intact, but certainly not as bad as Vanguard was, which had a ton of NDA breaking leaks months before release.

Anyone in the GnH beta? I read some of the beta journals, doesn't sound insanely impressive tbh. I've applied, will see for myself soon enough.

Haven't heard much myself, though I haven't really been following it. Only thing I keeping hearing that's good is the squad combat, which can also be seen in another mmog coming out soon - Sword of the new world.

tabula rasa = poop.  i've been in the beta for a while now.  its another bleh release by ncsoft.   its basically an attempt at taking a first person shooter and making it an mmo.  problem is there is no skill involved in the combat as you could aim at the ground and still hit your target.

Agreed. Before testing it, it looked really promising. Looks like I will be sticking with LOTR.
