| the question is what kind of cad program wood you like to use, if you built the star ship on your computer?, this is not hard. OK NOW this is not real hard for you all, in this book i got of SHIP of the STAR FLEET volume one, on the page of constitution class heavy cruisers of this ship of the enterprise size of the size. |
Kenny, there are many CAD programs, that cost about $600 to $10,000+ dollars. ?I Know, that you know, that the Enterprise is a make believe ship, right, and the dimensions and weight is also make believe. ?Star Fleet Volume One, is a good Star Trek book, and presents many good pictures of the science fiction Star Ship Enterprise. ?Could such a ship someday be built, maybe, but for now it remains in the realm of science fiction.
If you like to dream and create, working on a 3D cad of the Enterprise would be a fun and challanging project, even for a trained engineer and CAD operator. Such a project would take many hundreds of hours of work. But if you want to do it, and have a computer and money for a CAD program, then go ahead and do it. But it will not be easy Kenny, and will take a lot of time and effort and money.

1) overall Lenght 285.9M primary hull 126.8M, nacelles 153.8M.
2) overall of the beam 125.6M, primary hull 125.6M, nacell 19.2M
3) THE over all draft 71.5M, primary draft 32.8M, nacelles draft 18.8M.
4) THE displacement : 181,000 metric tons standard (177,00mt light, 185,000mt full load). |
Remember Kenny, these are not dimensions of a real ship or real facts (weights). Even if a full scale mockup of the Enterprise was built to these dimensions, the mass weight would not be this for real. The real Metric Tons would depend on the materials you used in the construction of the Mock Up.

| the question is for all of you, can this star ship be on a square 1 mile of land with the size i have down here?. don't you think a person can put it on the land of this size?. by useing the cad software we use on our computers now. |

1 mile Kenny is 5280 feet, so in princable it would be possible to put such a Mock Up Enterprise on a 1 square mile area, with lots of space left over.
5280 feet times 5280 feet is 27878400 Square Feet
This is 640 Acres Acres of land Kenny.
*************************************
So Kenny, The basic area for your Mock Up of the Enterprise would be:
(285.9 Meters) 937.992 Feet Length
-by-
(125.6 Meters) 412.073 Feet Wide
-by-
(71.5 Meters) 234.580 Feet High
At 937.992 Feet times 412.073 feet is 386521.177 Square Feet.
This is 8.87 Acres of land Kenny.
*************************************
Just as a comparison Kenny,
The Ocean Linner RMS Queen Mary 2
Cost to build the ship: $800 million
Length 1132 feet (345 metres)
Width 147 feet 6 inches (45 metres) ?
Height 236 feet 2 inches (72 metres)
Passengers 2,620 (3,090 max)
At 1132 feet times 142.5 feet is 161310 Square Feet
This is 3.70 Acres of land Kenny

A land locked mock up of the Enterprise would not have to
meet the massive safety and seaworthy requirments of the
QM2, and would have much less steal in the construction.
Also a mock up would not have real engines that the QM2
has, or the rescue boats and gear.
Such a mockup of the Enterprise would be about 200 million.
That is a guess!
When I worked on the Enterprise Theme Park Hotel /
Conference Center in 1986/1987 the estimated cost was
about 150 Million to 200 Million, but was not truly FULL SIZED
mock up. It was about 60% of the real thing (ie: the Science
Fiction Dimensions), and also included the support building to
house the mock up. Todays costs would be greater by a few
million, but still I think would be around 250 million, give or
take.
Your idea to make a mock up of the Enterprise is a good idea
Kenny, but it has to be more than just a mock up in an open
field. How are you going to enclose it to protect from
weather? How are you going to make it encompass a wide
range of things, ammenities, and atractions to justify the
construction of such a mock up?
Your idea could be done Kenny, but the dream and idea needs
to be more refined and polished.
It took me 5 years of very hard work and many people to help
me, to design and perfect my idea of a Star Trek Theme Park
and Hotel Conference Center.

But, if this is your dream and vision, keep working on it!
People laughed at the pet rock, but the inventor of the pet
rock idea made many millions on this.
People laughed at the Wright Brothers, Einstein, and Howard
Hughes, but these people all made great contributions to
society and history.
Like I said Kenny, never stop dreaming and never stop trying.
Thats the best anyone can do in this world!
