| Quote (Yanks @ April 17 2007, 2:32 pm) | Star Trek: Enterprise Season Four:
"Storm Front" - Five out of Ten
I was so pissed when they didn't make it home I could have broken my TV!!! WWII and the Germans again...
"Home" - Seven out of Ten
You think they could have come up with a different hobby for Archer....Kirk was the mountain climber...great character development for T'Pol (getting married to help her mother despite her feelings for Trip)
"Borderland" - Eight out of Ten "Cold Station 12" - Nine out of Ten "The Augments" - Nine out of Ten Overall score for the story arc - Nine out of Ten
Wonderful answer to a minor canon issue. Nice to meet one of Phlox's closest friends, great story, and Brent was terrific!
"The Forge" - Eight out of Ten "Awakening" - Nine out of Ten "Kir'Shara" - Nine out of Ten Overall score for the story arc - Nine out of Ten
Our first real look at Vulcan history, Vulcan and the high command. T'Pol in white ? Very nicely done.
"Daedalus" - Five out of Ten
Nice story, but it really didn't do much for me. It wasn't like meating Archer's dad, or ZC or someone like that...
"Observer Effect" - Ten out of Ten
In the top ten of my all time Star Trek episodes!! Very well done!! Great TOS SCI-FI feel to it, Hoshi and Trip out did themselves in this one...
"Babel One" - Eight out of Ten "United" - Ten out of Ten "The Aenar" - Nine out of Ten Overall score for the story arc - Nine out of Ten
Wonderful story, respects canon, we learn more about the blue skins, we see Andoria, Trip realizes his feelings for T'Pol are influencing his decisions....good stuff.
"Affliction" - Nine out of Ten "Divergence" - Nine out of Ten Overall score for the story arc - Nine out of Ten
Here is where Enterprise really did well. Very realistic, section 31, xenophobia...nice arc...
"Bound" - Eight out of Ten
Nicely revealing facts about the Orion Slave girls and the sindicate...now we know who controls who!! (nice eye candy ep too!!!
"In A Mirror, Darkly" - Ten out of Ten
Any episode that has a Constitution Class in it is already at the top of my list. They really did themselves good here. Putting the entire crew IN the MU was a terrific idea, theme song change was a great twist too...Tholians web, we actually "meet" a Tholian...everything very well done. Best "Mirror" U in all of Star Trek!
"Demons" - Nine out of Ten "Terra Prime" - Ten out of Ten
Should have been the season finale if they had to do TATV. Just a great 2-parter. Peter Weller was fantastic!!
"These Are The Voyages..." - Two out of Ten
Just a slap in the face to the Enteprise crew and their series, no speech, etc, etc...I could go on (and have before )
************************* Best overall episode of the season - "Observer Effect"
Best guest stars of the season - Peter Weller (John Frederick Paxton in "Demons" and "Terra Prime"), William Lucking as Harrad-Sar in "Bound" and don't forget Brent Spiner as Dr. Arik Soong!!
Tear jerkers - the final three scenes of "Terra Prime", including Phlox watching the baby Elizabeth die with Trip and T'Pol, Archer's speech to the coalition, Trip in T'Pol's quarters hinting at Spock and Archer hugging T'Pol as he heads up to give the speech we never heard.
Best action sequence of the season - Enterprise and Columbia team up to get Trip back to NX-01 to attempt to remove the Klingon "bug" in "Divergence"
Best line - "I think I will miss you..." T'Pol to Trip ?in "These Are The Voyages..."
Worst episode of the season - "These are the Voyages..."
The best Star Trek Season ever produced. |
You mean Enterprise season

I wouldn't say Season 4 of Enterprise was not the best Season of all Trek. In another thread I said Enterprise was ok but the Dominion War on DS9 was alot better than Season 4 of Enterprise.

Archer being the holder of Surak's Katra and McCoy never beating Spock over the Head with it just don't make sense.

I can't remember alot of the season as i haven't watched them since they first aired but i do remember it being a glorious season for ENT. It was all that i wanted from the show and it's a shame it was the last.

Stormfront - Tired alternate history story about Nazis and aliens. Plus point is it concludes the ill concieved temporal cold war. Two out of Ten
Home - Typical false Wedding subplot kills it. Five out of Ten
Augment trilogy - Great to have Brent Spiner again, has it's ups and downs. Seven out of Ten - good
Vulcan trilogy - Really only here to clean up ENTs worst mistake though by this point the good guest characters seem to be knocked off like flies, in this one it's T'les. Five out of Ten - Average
Daedalus - Who are these people and why would we care? One out of Ten - Awful
Observer Effect - Again, a obvious false ending takes ENT to rock bottom but Bakula can really pile on a death scene. Six out of Ten - above average.
Babel trilogy - Forshadowing the Romulan War. Coto gets it right, Coomb characters can always salvage any weak script, parts 1 and 3 are good, 2 is filler. Eight out of Ten - very good
Klingon two parter - The explanation for Klingon foreheads is silly but it's great to have deceitful Klingons back to Star trek. Seven out of Ten - good.
Bound - Raujin times three, cool twist, but a overdone concept in Sci Fi. Five out of Ten.
Mirror Universe - Pointless to the main Enterprise story, relies too much on TOS nostalgia. Seven out of Ten - good.
Terra Prime - Enterprises true conclusion. Nine out of Ten - Exellent
These are the Voyages - Awful, 'nuff said. One out of Ten.
As a whole in the Trek universe. Once again a season that brings nothing new to the televised Trek, it fills in gaps here and there but too much of it feels like fan fiction. The main antagonists of this season, the Klingons, Romulans and to some extent Andorians, who have been done to death in various other stories in recent years. The mini arcs work wonders two thumbs up there. Theres not much character development his time out but Coto shows he was listening to fan criticism judging by the penultimate scene in 'In a Mirror Darkly'. The show suffers because it's a prequal and as with all Trek theres a lack of believablility when they try to make on someones dead or something will change forever. So overall it's a good season. Seven out of Ten.

Stormfront -- cleaning up the mess left by the Season 3 finale. 6 for cleaning up the mess, 1 for being there in the first place. 3.5 total
Home -- Good Earth Episode. Something that was needed more in saesons 1-3. The "wedding" story line was a bit week. 6.5
Augment trilogy -- Great to see Brent back on Trek. Good story that ties in TOS, TNG, and ENT in a new way. Great casting choice in Paul "Big Show" White as the Orion. 8.5 for the arc
Vulcan Trilogy -- Great story for anyone who read some of the novels dealing with Vulcan (Spock's World, Vulcan Academy Murders etc.) This could have been the season finale/premire between season's one and 2. 8.5 for the arc
Deadalus -- OK "one off" episode in a season of arcs. Predictable ending and a lack of good "transporter" stories before this bring the score down a bit. 6
Observer Effect -- Another decent "one off" episode. Not every story can be about the larger picture. 6.5
Babel Trilogy -- Time to quiet those who wanted to see the "Birth of the Federation". Too bad they spent season 3 hunting Xindi and not getting drunk with Tellerites. 9
Klingons lose their ridges-- Whether or not you think the the story needed to be told, it was done well. Good use of Section 31 (Sloan said it predated the Federation). 8
Bound -- Another great "one-off" episode, and it was great to finally see a story dealing with the Orions. The green Orion slave girl is one of the iconic images of Trek (from the end credits of TOS mostly). 8
IAMD -- My favorite thing about these episodes was that instead of a "crossover" episode, the entire thing was done in the mirror universe. Also settles the argument by showing that a Constitution Class ship is FAR superior to the NX-01. 8
Terra Prime/Demons -- I agree that this is the true finale to the series. Great story. Too bad they were never allowed to continue the storyline beyond this season. 9.5
These are the Voyages... -- Biggest pile of horse manure ever!!! The concept of having "familiar faces" interacting with the NX-01 crew via a Next Gen holodeck could have been used for very funny "Sweeps Month" episode (ala Relics), but to end things this way was an insult to the show. The one time I'll ever agree with TrekWolf is that this really wasn't an Enterprise episode, but rather what happened during the commercial breaks of a TNG episode. 0.0001 (I'm sure I could find some redeeming quality if I could ever bring myself to watching it again.)

I'd give my opinion, but it would be largely based on the fact that there are only three episodes of the entire series I have any interest in whatsoever... yeah, I know. I'm horrible. That's SpinerFemmes for you.
