No Kareal, this site turned itself into a cesspool full of trolls and whiners long before I dropped to your level and joined in bashing the people who have made it that way. Desperate middle aged man? Sorry to disappoint you, you arrogant hypocritical idiot but I'm actually a 23 year old third year university student, thanks. I couldn't care less how long you'll be here you condescending prat, I'll be right here waiting too.

If you're 23, then start acting like it and stop spewing your "ohmygawd I know more than you holier than thou attitude" at anyone that has a different opinion than you.

People may like you more if you stop trolling every post that disagrees wit you.

Edit; Okay you removed the jab I'll remove my counter.

I don't think I'm holier than thou, Kareal, but the fact remains that people jump to conclusions based on single sentences or get uptight because something which was discussed two years ago has changed. I'm spewing at people who come here ill informed with their half ### assumptions, not people who have differing opinions than me, for example Xenesis has not been happy with development changes around here lately that haven't bothered me from what I've read but since he can express himself in a mature and proper manner and actually try to have a discussion rather than make baseless threads calling the game vaporware and slagging off the developers, I've not held any issue with him.

ssra, unlike EVE, you will be able to beam down to planets, explore space stations and take part in duties aboard and explore large ships like the galaxy class etc.

Seems enough to me tbh.

Xenesis,

¿ In a certain respect I can certainly appreciate what you and some of the prospective gamers are doing, expressing your opinions and concerns about some of the larger parts of gameplay.

¿ I think that you have noted that I'm in the same camp that I would much like to have explorable personal ship interiors included, as for me it defines a large part of what makes an immersive game environment.

¿ I think some finer points to note though, are that while you are correct that in making 50 ships there are bound to be certain things that are non-reusable, such as the bridge modules etc. ¿However in consideration we can safely say that many of the interiors (turbolifts, corridors, cargo bays, etc) would be at least similar to a high degree for many ships of similar size. ¿So while I acknowledge that there are some aspects that have to be handcrafted, many are easier than we imagine them to be.

¿ And I think, while expressing our opinions to the developers is an amazing way of making them aware of certain issues, we should still keep an open mind. ¿Like you said, it's a "maybe", and that's a heck of a lot better than an outright "no".

(And thanks for the suggestion on the .net board, I'll check it out when I have sufficient time.)

Graff man,  seriously.

These people don't bother to read the original interviews, nor your posts and mine to begin with.  They just want to latch on to some small misinterpreted issue and blow steam.

Let them.  By any count if they're doing this, they won't wait long enough for launch anyway.  These kinds of people are not worth our time and effort to debate with.

+10,000 Respect!!!!

Wow my expectations for the game dropped like a sack of bricks. i'll have to see more but i probably wont play the game if the ships arent fully explorable. they need to really wow me to get me excited for the game again.

I have been waiting for this one for a good while. I'm still going to give it a chance even though that is a bit disappointing, but for me from an MMO standpoint it won't be the first time I was disappointed by a mechanic not making it in.

agreed.

It happens in almost every MMO. However, the last two highly anticipated MMO went down the crapper because of the devs removing and removing.

I do wonder how developers perform the magic of removing something that was never there in the first place.

I remember playing 'Galaxies' back before the CU hit in May 05, the designers said they couldnt support all the trades etc so slimmed the game down. When the NGE hit in Nov '05' they slimmed the game down even more to just a generic/FPS MMO and thats when I left it.

Since then i hear the designers are actually 'giving' people more content by replacing those deleted professions, kind of nice dont you think..

well I will not be interested in this game then if what you lot say is true... ! :O

I agree being able to searh around the ship your commishioned on is a major part of this game. Acording to the original plan there would be many players on a ship and each player would have their own quarters to put their awards, gear, and any items they may have collected. To take away free movement in your starship is realy an idiotic idea as it could possibly kill the excitement that people have about the game. At this point from the way it looks PE is turning into a bunch of screw-ups like those from activision that damn near killed the Trek gameing franchise.

What they did in star wars galaxies is they brought in a cross version of creature handler & bio-engineer called beast master. It's not actualy a profession but an expertise that all professions can spend expertise points in. They made a huge mistake when they dumbed down the game with the NGE. It took them a year & a half to admite it. Now here we are with PE makeing the same idiotic mistakes. Personaly it is no surprise to me after all they are pretty close with SOE. BTW SOE is co-produceing the expansion for PE's gods & heroes. Eventualy Darion and the STO will regret shafting the community by makeing such a decision. This decision also makes them into liars as their original statement said the ships would be fully explorable and that makeing interiors was also the reason that it would be starfleet/federation at first. So Darion needs to figure out just what the hell he is doing.

I guess you never saw the renders of the hallways, turbolifts, & ready room did you? They were all from a federation ship. Enough said.  :p

Yeah I saw them, and I've got good news for you... interiors are still in on the capital hub ships, and guess what those screens were from?

Either way they still efectively killed the game for many. This is suposed to be an MMO not an EVE or starfleet command wanna be. I can actualy imagine what happened to Vanguard happening to STO when it is released. The game start with many subscriptions but a few months later lose many due to players becomeing bored of the same old mmo , not haveing the ability to play as their favorite race, and a huge lack of diversity.
