I just finished Star Trek Vanguard: Declassified. I was a bit confused by the ending of The Ruins of Noble Men. But I loved all of the stories in the book. I can't wait to finish out the Vanguard series. This has been a very enjoyable set of books.
My next Star Trek book is going to be A Time To Be Born. I'm trying to catch up on all of the background books before I get into the Destiny and Typhon Pact series. It annoys me a little to find out that I'm missing part of the back story to a book. I had stopped reading some of the Star Wars books because of this.

You can save some time and just check out Memory Beta. There are a lot of books to read before Destiny.

A lot of us have been enjoying Vanguard for that same reason. I didn't start reading it until last year and did so because David Mack was encouraging me to give it a try here on these boards. Glad I listened to him.

I've got the books already and I had planned to read them anyway. I just decided to buckle down and read. I've been reading the one-shot books, Vanguard, Lost Era and Titan.
At one point in time I had all of the ST novels read. That was before the fiasco of the ST/X-men cross over. It took a while to get back into the ST novels.

Heh. I remember Planet X. That was before Sir PS was cast as Prof. X in 2000's X-Men

I have a TOS/x-men crossover comic. There is a part where Kirk calls for Dr McCoy and both Bones and Beast turn around. Hillarious!

I'm jumping around TOS, TNG, DS9 and VOY books. I recently finished VOY: String Theory and TOS: Vulcan's Heart. I tried reading the DS9: Mission Gamma series. But I'm not too crazy about the story around Vaughn and his daughter. =(
By the way, "Night of the Living Trekkies" is a MUST-READ!!!! It's so acton-packed and very humorous. When I read it, I felt like I was watching a movie.
