Just finish Captain's Glory by Shatner. Good book with a good ending in my opinion. One think that bugged me: Wouldn't Martin Madden be first officer of the Enterprise instead of Worf?
I JUST started to read Dark Mirror Diane Duane, a TNG novel. Timeline takes place during the forth season on TNG.

There is no character named Martin Madden who's ever appeared onscreen in any Star Trek TV show or movie, so I have no idea who you mean.
(Yes, I know he was in some deleted scenes from Nemesis, but they were just that: deleted.)

Damn that is annoying as hell. I mean they filmed the guy. He was in the DVD for people to see. I mean Shatner is a Star Trek writer so I would think he would carefully examine DVD's to see new characters coming in.
Still a good novel though.

The only place to see Madden is on the very clearly labelled deleted scenes section of the DVD.
And deleted scenes are deleted for a reason, and in this case at least part of the reason was that it was a spectacularly stupid scene. Worf being first officer of the Enterprise makes considerably more sense, given that he was a lieutenant commander on the command track when we last saw him on DS9. For him not to be the first officer flies in the face of everything we know about the character and his situation, and to bring in an outsider when there's a qualified person right there on the ship is ridiculous. It's, in fact, quite possible that this thought process went into the decision to delete the scene in the first place.
A deleted scene in Generations had Chekov talking about how he retired. I'm curious, did you complain about that when The Sundered was released?

Switching between Glass Empires and My Enemy, My Ally.
God, you have to love Diane Duane.
