I haven't many anyone yet; my first convention will be the one in Las Vegas this August.  IMHO though, ALL actors should be nice and treat fans with respect.  If they don't want to be nice then don't come to the conventions.  And I don't buy into this idea that the actors are only human and have "BAD" days.  When you are taking people's money, having a bad attitude is not an option.  You know the old saying..."Don't bite the hand that feeds you".

How many of us would still have jobs left if we treated our bosses badly just because we were having a bad day?  Not many of us.  If I am treated badly, you can be sure that I won't ever spend a penny on anything for that actor again.  I can appreciate their work on Star Trek but I won't be buying their memorabilia or souvenirs let alone any more photo ops/autographs.  And I probably wouldn't be interested in any of their future work.

They don¿t have to be my friend¿just take a second to extend common courtesy to a fellow human being¿not too much to ask¿IMHO anyways¿

John de Lancie was great.  James "Scottie" was very friendly.  Robert Picardo and Ethan Philips were both friendly and talkative.  Time with Shatner was brief, but he smiled and said you're welcome.  Spock was friendly too.  Frankes was friendly enough, but didn't seem like he wanted to be there.  His line was huge though.

My personal favourite though was Barbara Luna!  She's so beautiful and friendly!  We talked for a long time.  She really likes the fans and signing and everything

Star Trek TOS: George Takei and James Doohan were very nice at a con I attended in Pennsylvania about 7 years ago.  Nichelle Nichols was there too, but would not let anyone take a picture with her, which irked me.  Walter Koenig was cool at one con and then not so nice at one a couple of years later.  I guess that people's moods can have an effect on the experience.

Grace Lee Whitney was very nice at the Motor City Con in Detroit last weekend.  It's tough to see some of these folks as they get older, but she appeared to be enjoying herself.

TOS Movies: I met Robin Curtis at the Motor City con last weekend too, and she was, by far, the friendliest Stat Trek star that I've met.  Very talkative and kind.

Alan Ruck (Generations) also seemed like a nice guy.

Star Trek:TNG: Marina Sirtis seemed nice when I met her a few years ago, but she also seemed kinda weirded out about being at a comic book convention.

Enterprise: Met Dominic Keating and Connor Trinneer last weekend at the Motor City Con.  Keating seemed more into being there, (he hung out at the hotel bar for quite a while with fans after the convention), but both were nice.  If you get the chance to see these two guys on a panel together, do it.  That was one of the highlights of the convention.

I'm hoping that Shatner and Nimoy don't disappoint me in Vegas this year.

From all I have seen, Shatner tends to limit his interaction and seems a bit withdraw.  Don't get me wrong, I loved meeting him, but if you go in thinking you're getting the Shatner on TV or even on stage, that's not the way he is giving autographs or in foto ops.  I am sure you'll be happy with Nimoy though, he seemed to be having a good time.

I think one of the keys to meeting any star is to try not to get your hopes too high.

Yeah, I kinda know what to expect, so I'm just happy that I'm able to go to the con and meet those two guys.

I caught a really good show on HDnet called "Mind Meld" or something like that, where it's Shatner and Nimoy just talking to each other in Nimoy's back yard.  Both guys seemed very genuine and it revealed a lot about how they both have dealt with the fame of Star Trek.  Nimoy seems like he's come to terms with the fame and the fans, and he actually enjoys them.  Shatner, on the other hand, seems like he's not crazy about the fans and refuses to sign autographs in public because he thinks people are going to put them on eBay.

It was an hour long and was copyright 2001.

I just would hate to think that somebody went into meeting any star with certain notions and then would walk away disappointed.  To me cons are about having a good time and having fun meeting stars.  It is also a kick to meet other fans and talk when you're in line.  I hate to see or hear when somebody doesn't get what they want or things go different than expected

I haven't been to very many cons, but my husband and I drove to Philly to see Robert Picardo in a musical he did. We waited afterwards to see if he would come out for an autograph, but we were told he wasn't. We waited around a little while anyway and started talking to a group of ladies who were waiting too, as it turns out they were waiting for their "good friend Robert Picardo" after we picked our jaws off the floor we waited with them and got to talk to him. He was realy nice. One of the ladies wanted to take her picture with him with her camera phone but she didn't know how to work it so Rober Picardo gave it to me and said "The trekkies are usualy good with technology" He also signed my copy of the Holograms handbook. he was super nice about everything

We're going to a con he's in in july i wonder if he would remember that? hehe

I've met Marina Sirtis, and she's so sweet! I've never met Brent Spiner unfortunately, but I've heard wonderful things about him.

it depends on his state of mind...Brent is sometimes so funny as so crudel if he wants, believe me.

My partner met Johnathon Frakes at a convention a few years back and he said that he was pleasant and interesting.

The best ones I've found are the Original crew and Voyager crew members. The worst (In my personal experience) are Next Gen.
