Wow... what a read. I recieved RES today, and read through it withing 3 hours... :D

It's great... I loved every single page.

Cannot wait for next month.

Do you authors have a casting list for the new characters? Would help the imagination a little bit. :D

I finished up Resistance a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Just wish that a certain character hadn't been killed the way they were. Of course I could see it coming but still. I'm also finding the setup between Worf and T'Lana to be pretty interesting and looking forward to seeing it play out. Worth as first officer works well and loved how they refered back to the events of DS9. As for the Borg, I'm glad they made them dangerous again. Like always I'm sure they'll adapt again and once they do things should get even better.

Looking forward to "Before Dishonor". Novemeber can't come sooner. :) :honorable:

^ For the record, Q & A is coming out in October, which continues from Resistance. That book focuses on Q -- the Borg storyline will be picked up in Before Dishonor in November.

I finished Resistance over the weekend.  I like it for the most part. I really like the new counselor.   It's been years since I've read any of the Trek books, but when Death in Winter came out I couldn't resist (I'm a sucker for P/C).  Now I can't wait for the next one.

I see. The end of resistance has a preview of Before Dishonor. Forgot all about Q & A. Perhaps they should have made that clearer in the actual book. It might confuse some readers or at least cause them to be looking for Before Dishonor and they just might overlook Q & A.

I've just finished A Death in Winter and Resistance both were OK. Not worth rereading like the Vanguard series.

I read the Valiant years ago, can barely remember it.
Death in winter is Ok but worf and laforge are kinda out of character.

Valiant wasn't much to "write home" about... I remember enjoying Reunion much more.

...anyway. Anyone want to talk about Q&A and the new characters? The new security officer doesn't thrill me. I miss the short lived Sara Nave.

Also, the story for this one, while enjoyable, didn't seem to be all the author had intended ("ultimate Q novel") Though it tried to tie together other Q episodes, it just seemed (IMHO) derivative of Parallels and All Good Things...

Death in Winter was really bad and Resistance wasn't much better. But Mr. DeCandido definitely saves the TNG "relaunch" with Q&A. I found Q to be a really overrated character, but he's actually a good character in the novel.

really!? :whatthe:

I can't agree. I like Q but he didn't seem to bring anything new to this latest story. (I.Q. is my favorite Q story)  I thought Resistance has been the most fulfilling TNG story of the 3 relaunch books so far.
