Just wondering if anyone bought a Gold Ticket for this years convention? I finally got the money to buy one when they sold out. If anyone has a spare I will buy from them!

I got one just in time, but I don't have any extras. I barely had enough money for mine :o( It was just by chance that I happened to even go to the Creation website and I noticed that the gold tickets were going to be sold out by the 12th, so I had to get mine right away. I'm surprised that they were sold out so early. The Captain's chair is still available I think. I would just get that one before those are all sold out too. With that package you can pick and choose which autographs you want...that seems to be the biggest difference in the price anyways!

Well I wanted to autographs.... now I am going to end up having to pay over 1500 bucks for everything (in my best guess).
However, dont try to call creation about tickets. I did this morning to see what the main difference was, and I about had to curse the person on the phone out. She wasnt willing to help me at all and made it seem like I was bothering her about something she was supposed to do.

Remember as far as the autographs go, we have no idea who those autographs will be from. They'll probably only include just a few of the big names and the rest will be the extras...I'm hoping not the Orion Salve girls...I'll skip that one  And then I'll have to pay for the big stars like everyone else and my ticket cost $300 more than the Captains Chair! But since this is my first convention I thought I'd go all out :o) |

You did the right thing I had Prefered last year and wished I had had Captain's chair. Remember a Digital Camera and a huge memory card. Post pic's here and have fun.  |

I sent creation an e-mail asking whether autographs were included in the captain's chair package, and they just sent me an e-mail with the same info from the website. Does anyone know for sure about autographs and this package? I'm weary about dealing with creation again, as far as conventions are concerned. I spent $180.00 for autographs and photo ops at the 2006 vancouver stargate convention, and then ended up having to spend an additional 75.00 because they didn't sell day passes ( which was contrary to what I had been told by them via e-mail.) Do people run into problems with them often? From what I've heard they aren't very reliable as far as their website info is concerned.

Autographs are not included in the Captain's Chair. That's what I had last year and I didn't think it was worth what I paid since I had to buy the autographs separate. I'm going with preferred seating this year and adding the concert and the autographs I still need. |

Well Captains Chair gets the Saturday Night entertainment with the exception of the dessert party. They also get access to Star Trek the Experience in Friday night (which I am buying a Thursday ticket as well). Its just making me mad that when you call the lady who handles the tickets is so rude and doesnt give a (you know what) about doing her job. But that is Creation for you...

I am real close to sending a letter to Paramount expressing my concerns about Creation. If you dig around here enough you will find the post about all the problem with last years convention. Oh and if you see a gold ticket on ebay (and you already bought another one) Creation wont refund your money on that other ticket nor will they credit it towards the Gold ticket.
Its all about getting their pockets bigger (which is sad)

The lady's name is Darianne (or Anne for short) she handles all the ticket arrangements. I found her exceedingly helpful, but then, that might be because I'm English, and was calling overseas. I don't know.
If you want to know what she looks like watch the High School Graduation Episode season 3 of Buffy. she walks up the aisle behind Sarah before going to her seat. she's wearing glasses.
