Alright, if I remember correctly, Einstien said that when you approach the speeds of .5-.6 the speed of light, your personal time slows down, while the time around you continues as normal. In simple words: your going into the future. In Star Trek, this does not seam to apply. In the TNG finalie "All Good Things...", Data explained the theroy of Anti-time, oppisate to our time. In our understanding, normal-time goes forwards, while anti-time goes backwards. Data also said that "Matter is to Anti-matter as Time is to Anti-Time." Let's skip backward to the TOS episode "The Naked Time", Spock said there is a theroetical connection between time and Anti-matter. When they tested the formula to break out of orbit when Riley cut the engines off, they entered a time warp, going back 3 days. (Not those last 3 days, Mr. Spock! The connection between time and anti-matter... could there be a connection like this between anti-time and matter? To simply put why you don't warp to the future: In motion physics, Net-force is when... let's just say your car is going 40 MPH, and a giant eletric fan is pushing you back at 30 MPH, your net-force is 10 MPH. Same thing here but in time. Your probably warping 50 years in normal time, but your pushed back 49 years and 360 days via anti-time, so instead of 50 years, you only warp 4 days. DISCLAIMER: This does not apply in Real Life Physics, only in the Star Trek Universe.

the way time warp worked in TOS is retarded.
MPH is not a unit of force.
there are no relativistic effects at warp because of the subspace fields.
every1 is going to the future all the time.
wat u stated about einstein is a very crude description of relativity.

antimatter and time travel are link, the father of Quantum Electro Dynamic, Richard Feynman, once stated that antimatter was just normal matter traveling backward in time. So antimatter would actually be running in antitime. Traveling FTL would also allow you to travel backward in time. so basically what Spock did was allow a condition to exist where the Enterprise was force FTL with out warp.

If you look at an Alcubierre bubble (the theoretical 'warp drive' , what it does is push the ship into a seperate 'bubble' of space that travels at FTL speeds relative to normal space, while nothing inside or out *actually* travels past light speed. The downside is that such a bubble would require exotic matter with negative energy, and it's not certain that there *is* such a thing. IIRC, Trek physics holds that their 'warp drive' does something similar using a different method (Though I'm not clear what method that might be).

Trek warp works by generating assymetrical subspace fields that create a propulsive FORCE on the ship, while also reducing the effective mass.

also you can use the Alcubierre bubble to create a time machine by simply creating a warp bubble within the warp bubble... Any method of FTL is potentially a time machine..
