I was wondering...does anyone else think $129 for an autograph ticket for Scott Bakula is too expensive?

I hadn't checked StarTrek.Com, I see that he was added, Creation must not have updated there site yet. Im just wondering, is anyone going to get this autograph? I think that it may be better for people not to get it, that should have him lower his price! I dont think I would pay over 50 for VERY FEW People, but NO ONE for over 100!!!! Most people just DONT have that type of money to throw around, especially for a picture with some writing on it!

I've never been to a convention and was wondering if the photo is included in the 129 or is that simply for the autograph and you have to purchase one separately or bring something to sign?
Does anyone know how much a photo with him is? I see for Shatner and Nimoy it's only $10. more.

Normally (all the cons Ive been to), the photo is included with the autograph, but I have never been to a creation event, so they may be different. 1 year, the company that does my cons, decided to change arount the prices, it was $15 for the auto on your item, or $20 for an auto on one of the pictures they supplied. This was only that one year, and now they are back to a flat rate, but the guest gets to pic the price.
I have seen autographs range from 20 - 35, but this is at a fairly small convention. All TOS cast  -Shatner/Nimoy, all TNG -Stewart/Frake, and quite a few from DS9/VOY, but none from ENT.

I admire Scott Bakula, but I have already bought a lot of another tickets for autographs.
It's pity to know this so late,
I think that the ticket is too expansive for me and I will take only a photo with my camera of him!
bye

I agree that the price is pretty exuberant, however, this is his first convention EVER1 I would pony up the money for an autograph and a photo op due to Scott never doing this. I am hoping that once this con is over, he might do more if he enjoyed it enough. God knows he is going to make a mint on being there just one day. I went to the con last year with Patrick Stewart, so I am a little envious of those of you who are going in a few weeks. Oh well, maybe next year. At creation cons, you must provide a photo for the actor to sign. I know that sucks, having to pay for a pic along with the autograph. Just remember, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Have fun!!!

no problem pattirose, when I went there last year, the lines were very very long for just about everything, and if I could get you to enjoy the con a little bit more, than my mission was successful;)

I dunno, I don't think I'll be getting any autographs - that really doesn't interest me but I may spring for a photo op. I shouldn't say this and jinx myself but if your outgoing and chat with the people around you it can be half the fun and the line goes fast!

I remember the first time I went to Vegas how shocked I was at having to stand in line for the washrooms and buffet lines....... after awhile you adapt (to quote you know who)  :)

I cannot believe more people have not commented on the fact that Scott Bakula is " Graciously " charging $150 ( the updated price according to the creation website ) for a freakin'  autograph. That is more than twice what anybody else is charging. In contrast when i go to my local convention( orlandos vulkon ) i am paying $85.00 for a 3 day pass with reserved seating and an autograph from both Jonathan Frakes AND Avery Brooks in October. ( yes, that is correct, all for $85).  I understand this is a business venture for Bakula but COME ON SCOTT show us a little love. I was really hoping he would show up this year as this is my third straight Las Vegas Star Trek con and with that great line-up this year and more big names to come im sure he should really think twice about charging that much as the discriminating Star Trek fan will have a lot of places to put their hard earned cash. I just feel as though he is really disrespecting us.

Yabbut, does HE set the price? Or does Creation?

I'd like to know how much animosity there is with him getting such a hefty fee compared to the others?
It makes me wonder how the guys getting $20. feel about it or especially Shatner and Nimoy who are getting $60. a pop.

I would say that Bakula's fee is a combination of what his people asked for and what Creation thinks it can get. They are just testing the waters with this price. The fact that Bakula hasn't done a convention of this scale before and that he is constantly working makes him a hot commodity. I think that if the demand is small this time around, then supply will increase the next convention.

As for the pricing hierarchy, I think the guys getting $20 for their autographs understand face time with the fans means more money for them down the road. They tend to spend extra time with the fans because being friendly and making a good impression means we will pay to see them in a movie or stop channel surfing if we see them in a tv show.

One of the best autographs I ever paid for was Charles Napier, TOS The Way to Eden, The Blues Brothers, and the Austin Powers movies. As we talked to him, he asked where we were from and told us that he grew up in Kentucky, too. Then, he asked why I wanted him to make out the autograph to all 3 of my sons. I explained that they had recently discovered The Blues Brothers and it was now one of their favorites. He handed me the picture and proceeded to do three individual autographs for my boys without charging us. Now anytime I see him in a movie or hear his voice in a cartoon, I point him out and tell/remind everyone what a great and generous guy he was that day. Good guys like that should prosper for their good deeds. :)

I am just pleased to see that Mr Bakula will be at this next big Vegas Trek Convention, which now makes 4 out of the 5 Captains.  It would be extremely hard I think for Patrick Stewart to resist joining this lineup (even if just for a day).
