Hi peeps, i was just wondering whats happened to the London 2006 Star Trek convention?
The last i heard on creationnet was that they were attempting to sign up a very big male Star Trek name and i believe this name is so big that they decided to plan the con around him?? I believe it was supposed to be happening around April but thats obviously not going to happen and there's no info on the site right now.
Myself i'm very excited though, i mean surely it can only be Patrick Stewart we're talking about here????? Only this legend could make the convention wait, if it is i'm definately going down there.

It says on startrek.com it has been postponed. I'm sure they haven't cancelled. I think they're just trying to fit in with the big mans busy schedule. To be honest, i'd rather the convention waited and Stewart was there than go ahead without him. LOL - i'd be annoyed if it came out it was Jonathan Frakes or someone like that!!! ¿

You know, for our UK "Trek" fans, Stewart si spending the next few months with the RSC. Come October he'll be in two shows for them. I'd take the train or car to Stratford, see a show and then wait by the stage door to meet him. You might be able to grab a photo or at least, get him to sign something for you.
Creation will go back to London, trust me. Too much money to be made there!

That might be an idea actually mate, thanks for that. Patricks the only guy i'd actually go to a play for, but it could be good for me. How do you know this, are you in the PSN? As for creation, i'm sure it'll be London, where else would they do it? I'd like to see who's in the line-up ofcourse, but i might go down to that. PS. Thanks for the info jadzia20.

Nope, I'm just planning a trip from the States there in October. He's going to be in "Antony & Cleopatra" and "The Tempest." Also, in early 2007, "Hamlet." Good luck.

I hear he's fairly chatty at those things. I would assume it would have to do with how many people are there, how they behave, and such. Although I would think since he's back with the RSC he might be on a high and okay for interactions. If you go, you have to let us know how it went. I wouldn't get all "fanboy" on him, but that's just me. Maybe ask about something you got from the show or his interp of Prospero. But what do I know? Just have fun if you go!
