For those interested in the science and technology behind Starship, you might find this resource of use:

The Star Trek LCARS Blueprints Database

This site contains over 500 high-resolution blueprints of various Trek-inspired starships, shuttles and space stations, including ships from the Klingon and Romulan empires.

Enjoy,

John

I love this site, and have used it for my RPGs. Just browsing it engages my imagination (though I AM waiting for that Ferengi Merchantman ship to be finished ;))!

Thanks for sharing the link!

Thanks...

And I'll try and work in the Merchantman prints into the next revision... I have a few others that are nearly complete and should hit the site within the next week...

Provided my scanner doesn't crap out on me :)

Hay pretty cool. Reminds me of the posters they use to have hanging up in the graphic design class that I use to be in. At least it was one positive of being in a dungeon like class room in the basement of my local collage.

Regarding the NCC-1701 refit.

The Maximum cruising speed is given as Warp 8, which is correct, but the maximum Emergency Speed is given as Warp 9.15.

Now its not im saying its wrong, as it is probably about right, ie. about 40% increase over max cruise, its just older books give it as over warp 10.

Though as with alot of Trek, things are constantly altered over time...i just wish somebody would make up their minds about things and stick to them what whatever.

This is of course presuming they are using the old warp scales for TOS ships and the new warp scales for the post TOS ships...they are arent they?
