Are there ever any conventions in South Florida?

I'd really like to get involved with fellow Star Trek enthusiasts in the area, if only to meet and discuss shows, or have local screenings and such. I'd love to go to a convention, but I never hear of any coming around the Tampa Bay area. Anyone have any info that might help?
