Hi mazozau... My wife and I are from Adelaide (SA)... I'm currently wathcing the Commonwealth Games, or as I like to call it the Australia Wins Everything Games, from my lounge room  If you like you can send a PM to altovar with your e-mail address so she can keep track of everyone who's going to be there... I'm also setting up a forum for us Aussies to use so we can keep in touch until the big day....

Hi Runey,

Watch out for my daughter Debra and I tomorrow night Saturday 18th at the swimming finals. I will be wearing my Aussie hat and waving an Aussie flag.

I have been chatting with Altover for awhile now. Looking forward to seeing you all in Las Vegas. It is our first time out of Australia and we are really excited about the whole trip and especially the convention.

bye for now

Marilyn

Hi Sam,

Creation have added another event a breakfast on Sunday morning details follow.

The famous LAS VEGAS STAR TREK CONVENTION SUNDAY MORNING CELEBRITY BREAKFAST and CHARITY SILENT AUCTION
8am to 10am

Many fans consider this a true highlight of the convention! Here great fans get together, meet and mingle over a delicious breakfast, and have the opportunity to personally greet several Star Trek celebrities also in attendance. Attendees can take photos of the celebrities as they enter, but then we ask that cameras be put away so the guests can enjoy casually meeting and chatting with you as we escort them table to table.

And, the wonderful SILENT AUCTION offers up, exclusively to breakfast attendees, a dynamite array of donated rare Star Trek & Sci-Fi collectibles to benefit some very worthy and notable charities. One of the charities benefitting from this event will be THE JAMES ELLIS FOUNDATION OF HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY which helps students affected by cancer to attend college. Since 1997 well over 350 students have been helped by this great organization and 100% of your winning bid goes directly to the students. We always say that Creation attendees are the most generous fans in the world and the over $400,000 that has been raised for this charity is certainly proof of that!

THIS IS A STRICTLY LIMITED ATTENDANCE EVENT THAT ALWAYS SELLS OUT: PLEASE ORDER ASAP.

$70 per seating

I have purchased my tickets already, definately not to be missed.

I don't think that sleep is going to be an option during the weekend. We may get a couple of hours but that is about all.
I'm sure glad that I left my flight out of Vegas till late on Monday and hope that I can get a late checkout.

See you there!!

Hi Marilyn,

Thanks for the info!  I've booked my Sunday morning breakfast now.  It looks like its going to be a fantastic event.  I also noticed that there is a Thursday 5pm event:

RESISTANCE TO BINGO IS FUTILE CHAMPAGNE HAPPY HOUR
Thursday 5pm

This is gonna be the wierdest, wackiest, wildest bingo party ever! Featuring a grand array of delicious finger foods including Turkey and Swiss, Ham and Swiss, Salami with Provolone and Dijon Mustard, Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese, Roast Beef with Horseradish, Sliced Fresh Fruits with Yogurt Dressing, Cookies, Freshly Brewed Coffees, and Tea! To rev up the action we'll have complimentary champagne/sparkling cider and a cash bar for other alcoholic beverages. And, as part of the fun we're playing STAR TREK THEMED BINGO with celebrity number callers and drop-in players!: We're offering up thousands of dollars in STAR TREK PRIZES to lucky bingo players! Come and PARTY with us! This is a limited attendance event: hopefully you will win some cool prizes but we know you'll laugh and have fun!

I'm not sure about this one and would be interested to hear of opinions.  What do you think?

Samuel

P.S. bought my scottish flag today in York, which is quite funny given York is in England!

I'm not sure about the RESISTANCE TO BINGO IS FUTILE CHAMPAGNE HAPPY HOUR either... If it was outside of the convention hours, then I'd probably do it, but it's not... I don't think I would won't to take the risk of miss seeing a guest that's scheduled for the same time... I'll leave it to the last minute and hope they have released a schedule before the tickets sell out...

Debra and I have booked for the Bingo event. We talked it over and decided that we will take the chance and hope that we don't miss anyone really interesting in the main room. If there is then one of us will stay in the main room while the other goes to Bingo.

Great that you got your flag. Debra and I got ours for the Commonwealth Games. They were really wonderfull and we're glad we went.

Now we have to save for the US.

See you all there.

Hi Tony,

Glad your coming and like you I'm going on my own.  However, after spending a number of months online at startrek.com, i've quickly come to realize that though I might be going on my own, I certainly won't be on my own!  Star Trek fans seem to be some of the friendliest people around irrespective of which country/culture you come from and that probably has something to do with gene roddenberry's vision of the ST universe.  And, there are lots of great people using this site and I am looking forward to meeting them all at STLV.

So, see you at Quarks 6.30pm Wednesday night?

Look forward to meeting you.

Samuel.
