I have never been to the Las Vegas ST:TE attraction.  I am curious as to what people think who have been to it.

I thought it was pretty fun.  A couple of my friends thought it was ok, but none of us are excited about seeing it again.  If you go to Las Vegas, go see it.  Some people on this board have been to it and they loved it.  See it for yourself and then you can decide if it is worth seeing again.

ST:TE is absolutely FUN and a must see! Wow, it is truly amazing and to give you to much information would actually spoil the fun!

Quarks cafe is also just terrific and well worth the trip.  They have people in theatrical quality costumes that are highly versed in trek lore that come to your table while dining there, a LOT of fun.

The Borg ride is not as much fun as ST:TE and lost some of the fun feel of the orginal ride.  But, since both rides are running there is no loss here, just not as good.

However, bottom line a terrific time and I highly recommend it!

My wife and I went to Vegas for our 20 anniv, We had a blast. The Klingon ride is very cool. We had pics in the capt. chair so we got to check out the bridge close up, its well worth the money to see it. Quarks Bar and Grille is nice also good food, the shops are nice as well .

We're going back for our second visit to The Experience next month, and can't wait. The rides are worth doing several times if you have the time. The Museum is great, but of course I wish it were five times larger! I am looking forward to doing the new Behind the Scenes tour this time as well as the regular rides.

I really enjoyed both of the "rides", but they are very different. You do more moving around in the Klingon Encounter, and the shuttlecraft ride in the U.S.S. Goddard is wonderful. But I also thoroughly enjoyed Borg Invasion 4D. It was more like watching a short Voyager episode once you got to the theatre portion of the experience. The Doctor was great as always, and it was nice to see him starring in Borg Invasion. If you go to the imdb.com, you will find both of these Star Trek Experience rides reviewed there as productions. Worth a look. Of course, the Star Trek: The Experience site is very informative.

I was in Vegas last week, Jan 28-Feb3.  I LOVED the experience.  My friend and I discovered Quarks by accident and landed there every night for dinner. The characters walking around the restaurant were phenominal actors, they never broke character, as well as the "Star Fleet" that escorted us through the rides. Both of the rides were excellent, I went through each twice.

I did not do the backstage tour, I thought it might ruin some of the mystery for me.

The food was GREAT, the drinks could have been stronger but they were delicious.

My only disappointment was when I returned home and went to the "official" website for The Experience, there wasn't anyone there.  No moderators, no adminstrators, no staff, the site is being run over by spammers and it would be great to have a couple characters available for chat too!  I'd like to have a return visit, but I feel they don't care much about returns, or they would promote the site more.

It was great. I went there once before the Borg ride was open. I'm planing another visit. WOuld look forward to the borg ride and the backstage tour.

THe only thing I was disappointed with was that I was under the impression there'll be actors walking around. THe day iw as there, there were only two Borg walking around. And they don't talk.

You've got to get back for Borg Invasion 4D! There are still those who prefer the original Klingon Encounter, but the Borg ride is a great experience, and the special effects are several years improved on the earlier ride.

When I was there last year we chatted with a Klingon at our table in Quarks, as well a Ferengi who milled about the shops, and a great Borg, who was admittedly a man of few words, but lots of fun!

In the past several months, the website indicates that they have even increased the costumed actors since then, and even put them on the Borg Invasion monorail train for a promotional stint. Although I have seen the Borg monorail several times, I never managed to get that one when I rode the Las Vegas Monorail. Maybe next month when I return!

I had the pleasure of taking part of the Experience today. It was my first trip to Vegas and it was the only thing I had my sights on! Being a DIE HARD Trek fan I was very nervous - I didn't want to be let down. I definately wasn't!! I could tell that everyone working the Experience really gave a damn. From the Ferengi at the entrance to the actors - just plain awesome. The Ferengi guy even knew some Ferengi language! The shops were awesome as well - definately found way too much stuff to spend money on that I just couldn't find anywhere else. Also, the pic of myself on the bridge in the captain's chair came out better than I expected!

Awesome experience at any price.

I loved it!  The first time I went was in 2000; my sister and I went on the ride so many times that we actually started feeling sick.  LOL!  She isn't a Star Trek fan at all, but she had a great time, too.

My husband and I went back in 2002...check out the photos here.  This time we got to have our photo taken on the bridge.  That was very cool.

I haven't been on the Borg ride yet, but I am planning on doing that some day.  And, yes, I will ride the Experience again on my next trip to Vegas!

Thanks for sharing the photos Chrystabel. Is that really you who won the spot as a background actor in Enterprise???!!! Wow, what a phenomenal opportunity. The closest I can hope to come to that is the behind the scenes tour at the Experience. Not quite the same, but I'll take what I can get!
