Does anyone know how much the ST communicator phone is going to cost once it is released?

I spoke with a guy named Anthony who is ahead of the communicator project at Sona mobile and he said that they are putting off delivery until sometime in 2006 because they are having a problem with getting the interior to look like the original series unit. He said that the outside will be based on a current flip phone design but could not tell me which one.(my guess is the black Motorola Razr) Since he is a Star Trek fan also,( and that's why he was hired) he wants to deliver the best possible design but is battling current cell phone technology(buttons) with the future design and ergonomics of the "real one". Based on all that this thing will offer, it will probably cost a few hundred dollars. He said that he showed the bosses what a "real" communicator is supposed to look like and said that they are striving to accomplish that design.I think it will be worth the wait.

I think they are being very ambitious with the TOS communicator the original design might make a good phone,but ther is no room for a screen and key board.I think the next generation Tricorder would be a good design more like a blackberry.... :rookie:
