Sound Effects and Bridges?

I know this might be alittle early but if the devs are reading this, for the love of god PLEASE include sound effects from the actual TV show and movies. It disappoints me beyond belief when I get a star trek game, play it and find the graphics are ok, music is alittle bad and the sounds are just crap. I have found that phasers/buttons/federation weapons in general have been rubbish, using old sound effects. Enterprise even used roughly the same sfx as TNG/Voy so in 20 years after nemesis they should still be roughly the same. 1 more question... do you think Majel Barrett could actually be used as the ships computer system instead of a rip off which doesnt sound believable.

Sorry for the rant but it pains me when a game has great visuals, gameplay but really bad sound effects.

As for the bridge part of my thread... will the new LCARS shown in the showreel demo have an impact on bridge design. As you all know, bridges all the way through TNG/Nemesis have had large consoles with the roundish LCARS Header surrounding the actual pannels, will the bridge still have a "federation" feel to it? how will a galaxy class or Sovereign class bridge look with the new system design?

I wouldn't be too worried.  PE has a license that grants access to all Star Trek content ever created.  I'm sure we'll get an 'authentic' sound library.  If we could get Majel Barrett to do the voice for STO computers, that would be the icing on the cake.  She's appeared in one form or another on every single one of the Star Trek series.

I know, I know I shouldnt, i'm a christian myself... was in the heat of the moment and what was disrespectful about my post? I was pointing out bad things about games, didnt say anything bad about anyone. I apologize if that phrase offended you, but it is a phrase... dont take it so personally. Anywho back on topic, what do ya'll think about bridge designs going with the new LCARS?

I will like to have all the sound effects in the game as it is in the show. So I could feel just like being in the show it self.  :)

no one really knows what effect the new LCARS will have on ship design just yet. I not sure the PE do, its just something that they are looking at and may change before beta/release. They'll be relying (hopefully) upon the community to offer feedback especially durung the beta phase.

On the whole i like what they are doing so far. The uniforms and LCARS look like more advanced versions than we see in the shows. That's the way it should be if the game is to be 20years after Nemesis.

I would think that would be something that they would put in mandatorily .. is that a word?

Though some of those original ST sounds drive me bonkers .. bleeping and booping .. *shivers*
