We will have different desings for rank and for department. This would amont to a minimum of 16 uniforms and this is if we use for ranks only the full pins and we use the same design for medic-science, engeniring-helmsman. I would get lost between al that uniforms.
Oh well at least we would have high diverity in clothing yay.

I wanted to ask if we would finaly get some seat belts and fuses in our consoles. I don't want to go to sickbay mor often by a missfireing console than geting hit by an enemy. Btw Picard did get seatbelt in Nemesis (look at the aditional content on teh DVD release)

The 16+ different designs will not cause that much confusion. Essentially you learn the rank-specific uniform, and the colour on it determines the department. Not very confusing.

lol I know about the seat belt joke on Nemesis. I suppose there's really no excuse for all of a sudden someone in Starfleet thinking "hey I just came across this ancient idea that used to save a lot of lives... wonder why we forgot about it" lol. Fuses in consoles? Dear lord, next we'll have silent torpedoes Ahem, but getting back on topic. One positive thing I do have to say on the LCARS at least is that I'm glad they're putting a great deal of thought into the activity of the console... making it come alive both visually and practically. Whether I like the look or not in the end, I am glad of that at least.

I'm just waiting for them to change the LCARS design and for people to say "I liked the old 'new design' better!".

I cannot imagine a future with fuses in consoles. Or Seatbelts. Silent torpedos?! Insanity I tell you!!!
As if people of the future would think of such things!

Perhaps Starfleet is spending too much time and attention on fashioning designer new uniforms and forgetting those little things...
If the uniforms remain as they are, so be it. But in either case I do like the idea of being able to attach things to the uniforms for specific purposes. That was very mildly touched on, on the series but I guess all those "extras" cost too much to maintain. Here at least it can be done with no such issues.

Remember guys, it's concept not final. I'm sure it will all be changed a number of times more before release. People also need to cut some slack and accept changes to various things in the star trek universe, like uniforms and LCARS, with Mr Okuda working on the LCARS I don't think we need to worry so much about it. I'm really glad that PE is working with various people that help build the star trek universe, to make sure the game comes out looking feeling and playing like Star Trek. Ken.... GO LEAFS GO!?

And, its the 1. starfleet uniforms who got some kind of boxes for putting things, noone have ever had an place to put or keep phaser, tricorder, etc Nice they dont turn the uniform to something looking like the communist nightmare who looks like an carpenters work clothes, though. Having good looking uniforms is important

Well I know that my city is hoping for a Red-Mile-worthy run for the Flames this year.
Really pleased that you let us see the concept art.
