The vendetta is a nebula class star ship that is part of the federations reexploration program

after the end of the borg war the federation started to send out ships to explor those areas the borg had taken.  The vendetta is often at the frot line searching for servivers and new places for colonies.

Well the vendetta is a ship of peace she is more then able to defend herself, and deal with those that would harm the federations.
