TG_Blackfire showed this to me a while ago and I love it. It is called Celestia. it is a huge and detailed map of space labelling over 100,000 stars. It also allows you to lookat extra-solar planets. Celestia also comes with many different add-ons including nebula, other stars and space craft.
You can look at planets in this system and their moons in great detail as well as asteroids. With the addons you can download incredibly high detail and more up to date maps of planets and moons with new textures. if that wasn't enough you can even download Starships and Stations as well as planets from most Sci-Fi shows including Star Trek.
Below post comments and any screen shots.

I don't know. Try and see.

I don't think it takes up much space...

Now, I love seeing Earth on real time from 25,513 km from the surface however shame it doesn't take in account real-life cloud movements, now that will make a fantastic add-on.

I have also downloaded the add-on galaxies, and saw where the sol system in relation to the Milky Way is.

I love this freakin' program... cos you can move away from one planet to the next, it's so fantastically done, it's like a mini-astrometrics lab, you got projection path lines etc  - *drools*
