I guess you would be like one of the 9000 who would buy the game?

No real way to judge how it would sell, it's a crap shoot (please no Enterprise/crap jokes  :) ). More people may buy it then you would believe, regardless of what the bashers say. It's obvious you wouldn't Taulek, but why spoil everyone elses reindeer games? With Enterprise in syndication and the DVD sets coming out, more people may go for a MACO game if done right. If the game is easily modded, that opens up a whole new potential of buyers for the game.Enterprise deserves at least one game based on it and a MACO game would be it rather then a flight simulator.
Come on, walking along the corridors of the NX-01, blowing away Xindi and Suliban doesn't sound like fun? Or saving hostages from a Vulcan terrorist group? Beaming aboard and securing a Klingon ship to prevent it's warp core from blowing-up, the possibilities are endless. All in old-school Enterprise style too.

PS: Don't forget Shran and the Andorians! I'll be waiting for that P'Jem multi-player objective level, Vulcans vs. Andorians!

Heck YES a MACO game! Woo Hoo! Lots of untapped potential there.

It could be a kicking First Person Shooter game. And think of the possibilities of some tactical influences. All the Star Trek ship combat games had tactical interfaces - why not use some tactical squad based stuff in a FPS game featuring the MACOs? And protecting the Nx-01? Or beaming onto a hostile ship? Hostage rescue as someone mentioned?

LOT's of untapped potential with the MACOs.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

I may have voted yes but i disagree with the people abusing the people who voted no.

This is a poll, as such you're going to get a ratio of both answers, if you cannot hack that then i suggest you quickly become a hermit because there's a ####load of people out there who disagree with you on many subjects and eventually you're going to burst a vein.

Oh come on, man... When I called them ######## I did so with a smile on my face, we're all friends here. And when exactly were you going to read the last sentence in my third posting that says "Sorry to the two guys who voted no."? Besides, the people who voted no, really don't give a flying-#### what I say, and for that they have my utmost respect.  :D

Heck yeah, make a MACO FPS!! Sure, there's other FPS out there, like HALO and such, but guess what? THEY'RE NOT STAR TREK!!! Therefore, they would NOT be the same, only the same format. We need more Trek games that aren't strategy games, not that there's anything wrong with strategy games. But come on, more action, folks!!!

I just thought of another MP objective level. Have an "In A Mirror, Darkly" level where one team (Mirror MACOs) has to steal the Defiant, while the other side (Tholian slaves) has to stop them. The MACOs have to, power-up the Defiant, destroy the mooring controls, and disable some power system (forcefield, tractor beams?). The cut-scene if the MACOs win would be the scene from the show, with Defiant flying away as the base is riddled with torpedoes. If the Tholians win, you see Defiant powering down and running lights shut-off. A total rip-off of MOH:Spearhead tug-of-war U-Boat level to be sure but, people would want to play that level a few rounds every night, so who cares?  Multi-player is always more fun if you give the players something other to do then just kill each other, creates more teamwork and strategy too. As for single-player, do away with the tired Doom-style "pocket arsenal", and have players choose ONLY two primary weapons with phase pistol and knife as permanent back-ups. They can choose which weapons to bring based on "Intelligence" before their mission. If you bring the wrong weapon, too bad (but there should be alternate routes to kill the big "bosses", just not obvious.). Awesome gameplay and cool ideas will do it, IMHO.

With the debacle of the last game and the slump ST is in right now I don't see it happening. However I would definitely buy the game, if it had elements of Star Wars: Republic Commando! ST games need improvement, I believe in the past they just released a game because they had a built in audience.

M.A.C.O. vs Hazard Team

now that's what i'd like to see.

maybe some people in Starfleet disagrees with the Hazard Team & decides to bring back the old Team to challenge the HT to who's better at their work.

choice in game, choose to be either side.
