Not too happy with the idea of repeat episodes on sets. Why the episode Trial and Tribbulations when in fact that episode refers to The Enterprise episode("Divergence") where the Klingons have their ridges changed. I MUST HAVE on the Klingon set.

I suggested a long time ago a crossover set that would NOW be appropriate for the 40th ann.

Encounter at Farpoint (McCoy)-Now,this would be a repeat
Relics (Scotty)
Unification I II (Spock)
Flashback (Sulu)
Blood Oath (Kor, Kang, Koloth)
Trial and Tribbulations - another repeat, but I suggested it long before in the survey.

Also, could pick up crossover series with TNG
Defiant (Thomas Riker)
Emissary (Picard)
These are The Voyages (Riker, Troi)
Life Line (Troi, Barclay)

Anyone else?

Saw these at Best Buy today and had to buy all 3! The only disappointing thing is the number of repeats (Q Who on the Borg and Q sets, Endgame on the Borg and Time Travel sets). I think Endgame might have done better not to be in the time travel set because, really, the time travel was a minor component of that episode. I would MUCH rather have seen Future's End parts I and II than Endgame a second time. Still, a fine product, especially for those of us who haven't got over $1000 to shell out on all the seasons of Star Trek on disc.

*gasp* I'd love to get a boxset of all the Best of Garak episodes, that'd be soo cool. I would sell my soul for it...

I would buy that one, even though I already have all 7 seasons of DS9.  Easier to access.  What about the Dominion War arcs?

Does anyone know if there will be anymore Fan Collective DVDs coming out in the next year.  It seems to me that they can do more the four collections.

The Borg and Klingon collections were interesting, although there were a lot of omissions on the Klingon one: I particularly missed "Reunion" and the various TNG and DS9 episodes dealing with Worf and his family: the absence of TNG "Reunion" stood out, because that's where Worf killed Duras and where we meet Kehler and Alexander. ¿And there are a series of episodes about Worf and Alexander's relationship that deserve to be collected together--especially TNG "Firstborn" and DS9 "Sons & Daughters." ¿Then, of course there's DS9 "You Are Cordially invited" (Worf & Jadzia's wedding) and the really exemplary "Sons of Mogh," which finally told us what happened to Kurn. ¿I think that there's the backbone of a Worf collection, there. ¿

In some ways, I would rather they'd done that than include what seem like comparatively weak episodes like TOS "Errand of Mercy", DS9 "The Sword of Kahless" ("The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" in space ...), and VGR "Barge of the Dead."

As far as the future goes, I'm surprised that no one has suggested Vulcan or Romulan collections.  I think that there's a lot of potential (if also some potential overlaps between the two concepts, during a couple of ENT and TNG stories).

A Vulcan collection could include the following:

ENT:
"The Andorian Incident"
"Shadows of P'Jem"
"Fusion"
"Fallen Hero"
"Cease Fire"
"The Forge"
"Awakening"
"Kir'Shara"

TOS:
"Amok Time"
"Journey to Babel"

TNG:
"Sarek"

VGR:
"Meld"

The collection would be weighted toward ENT, but I think the various elements of this story strand need to be woven together.  Also, the 3-part ENT story about Vulcan (& Romulan) politics represents one of that series best contribtions to the Trek mythos, IMHO.

A Romulan series could be built around the episodes:

ENT:
"Minefield"
"The Forge"
"Awakening"
"Kir'Shara"

TOS:
"Balance of Terror"
"The Enterprise Incident"

TNG:
"Enemy Mine"
"The Defector"
"Unification"
"The Pegasus"

DS9:
"In the Pale Moonlight"
"Inter Arma Silent Leges"

VGR:
"Eye of the Needle"

There are some wonderful stories in this group, as well--I think some of the strongest eps each series has to offer, in fact--and its all a great prequel to Star Trek Nemesis.

The way I see it with all 29 Star Trek Season sets possible, each series individually could have as well 6 or 7 discs ESSENTIAL BEST OF DVD sets

no longer interested in a mixed up mumbo jumbo full of repeats sets

I think making a Fan Collection DVD of all the Mirror Universe would be cool.  Who's with me on this?

I say Mirror Universe sounds awesome.  Hopefully they still make it-esp. for those of us younger fans who have never seen the original episode.  These collective sets are also a cheaper alternative than buying an entire season.  Keep 'em coming!  Borg, Klingons, Time Travel and %^#@* Q (Mostly TNG episodes) have been done.  At least a Mirror Universe would give an even spread across the 5 shows.  And who says it has to stop there!

How about Star Trek on iTunes. ¿I own the box sets, 25 of them anyway, but I would buy my favorites again from iTunes just for the ease of accessing them. ¿Paramount needs to move into the 21st century. ¿Get with the program. ¿I understand you can buy Trek on Google video, so why not iTunes?
