I voted Q, Borg, Time Travel, Klingon. I suggested a box with all the 2 part episodes that were seperated from discs originally, be put together in a set as one episode each.

Placed my votes.  I'd like to see all the two-parters get thrown onto DVD's as movie editions.  I'm too lazy to hit the skip button to get past the title screen and the "previously on" portions.

This is out in left field, but how about revamping the Voyager sets.  Possibly something similar to Enterprise.  Label the DVD's so that people can actually read the episodes.  The plastic book-type cases don't bother me.  But I really like how Enterprise is packaged.

My order was: Borg, Time Travel, Klingon, Q

I agree with previous posters that a Mirror Universe set would be great, as well as Romulan and Vulcan sets.

I also voted for mirror universe or parallel universe box set, but also like the Vulcans idea as well as the holodeck suggestion.

Any ideas on when and if any of these may be a reality?

I don't remember what order I picked but I think it would be very cool to do a Mirror Universe set. They're such fun episodes. Any other ladies out there who'd like to see a shirtless men set?

I actually proposed this set in the questionaire.
I would also like to see other complete story arc series, like:
All Q episodes.
All Bashirs Spy holodeck episodes.
All grand nagus episodes.
A complete borg set, this would probably be the size of a season box.
All episodes concerning the ancients, or whatever their called. With the mirrors that can transport you anywhere in an instant.
All Maquis episodes

These themed DVD box sets weren't meant for you then! They were meant for fans who couldn't afford to buy the season box sets of all their shows.

And what makes you think these will be anymore affordable? I'm with AdmiralJaneway only I am in the process of making my own DVD's because the price is outrageous. So I eventually will have all the shows on DVD and can make my own collection. I figure I will soon have all of DS9 for about $40.

If they are going to cost $90 or more I won't buy them I'll be buying gas to get to work instead. But if the price is more reasonable then they should sell like hotcakes!

I didnt vote and probably wont. I agree they are puting them out for the ones that can not aford the 100$ per season. I just think its to late. The should have done it before the seasons were released. Save the fans money, the ones who bought some seasons when they could, but only have a few of the 25 that are out...  not to mention all the fans that spent all the money on the TOS 2 eps dvd's, all 36 or whatever there was, then they come out with complete seasons few years later...

What makes me think that these DVD box sets will be more affordable? Just hope, I guess. ;) That, and making them as expensive as the season DVD box sets for Star Trek would, IMO, negate the purpose of making these smaller DVD box sets in the first place.

You know what I think that Paramount should really do? They should treat Star Trek like Apple's IPod treats music -- instead of being forced to download music in huge, expensive bundles, you can buy one song at a time (especially if you don't want 70% of the music in said bundle).

In other words, Paramount should start a service where fans can order their own CUSTOM DVD box sets! Choose only the episodes you want, and which combinations of episodes to put on each disk (4 episodes maximum), and then buy each episode one at a time, and pay the materials and labor of making your custom DVD box set. Then viola! You can have exactly the episodes of each Star Trek show you want on DVD for a few hundred $$$, instead of thousands of $$$. :)

Sure, the packaging may be more generic this way, but it's not like it's not generic ALREADY!

I really wish that Paramount would pioneer this idea because, on average, there are 30-40 episodes of TNG, DS9, and Voyager each that I want on DVD, out of around 500 episodes total. Why should I have to buy the other 460-470 episodes on DVD I don't really want?

Sturdier DS9 box sets! Everyone is saying how they fall apart, and I agree 100%! $100 for it and it doesn't have $5 worth of quality. What a waste!
