AdmiralMiller, The Star Trek Simulation Forum (STSF) was not created by StarTrek.com. STSF was launched by a small group of experienced role players who have simmed for more than a decade in various other organizations. This small group approached StarTrek.com, offering to become their official role playing organization. After some time, an agreement was reached between STSF and Paramount. The agreement gives STSF official association with StarTrek.com while benefiting StarTrek.com with increased traffic to its community: chat events page. STSF simming is currently being held on the STSF website while StarTrek.com continues to update its chat services. You can see us featured hereHope this helps... Sincerely, STSF GromVik Star Trek Simulation Forum (STSF) Associated with StarTrek.com http://www.stsf.net

Hi there, There are many other sucessful organizations besides STSF, however, Paramount and STSF have a special relationship that benefits both sides. We didn't become a large and sucessful organization over night. Many of our staff has been simming for over a decade. Through hard work, dedication and a committment to Star Trek and a positive role playing experience, STSF has become one of the premier role playing groups. We're sorry that you feel that we're garnering all of the new recruits, however, please keep in mind that no one is forced to join STSF, nor is advertising on this board limited to STSF. We wish best of luck to independent simulations that continue to be formed everyday. We neither take the credit if they succeed nor the blame if they fail. If you need assistance recruiting, please check out the helpful tips that players have posted. The subject is pinned at the top of the page. Best of luck, STSF GromVik Star Trek Simulation Forum

STSF_GromVik is right, they may be on startrek.com, but it dosent mean they are the only sims out there, and (no offence intended) this isnt the only place to advertise, and i have many people on my ship who have never visited this site.
There are hudreds of simulations out there that have done well, irrispective of STSF, it isnt the know all and end all of startrek sims, and being a popular sim, on a popular site dosent mean that it can be blamed for you not getting many recruits.
Thanks, Teta

Nor do we have 800 simmers. With 11 Advanced sims and 8 training Academies throughout the week, we definitely have a healthy number of active players, but that number is more than a bit exaggerated.
We do not corner the market on Star Trek simming, nor do we desire that. There are a lot of interested players and a lot of interesting places to play.

Every sim is different. I recommend working on a really nice site look to attract members if you have a problem.

Well written posts to recruit roleplayers (or otherwise mention the game) are also a plus. If you don't take the time to present your game well, don't be surprised if prospective players don't take the time to try your game out.
