I think that there should be a ground based real time strategy where you can control people not just shuttles like star wars galactic battle grounds

Yeah, an RTS set during the Dominion War would be great. Imagine gunning down hordes of Jem'Hadar with a group of Starfleet Vets...

Sorta' like "Siege of AR-448" or "Rocks and Shoals?"

Oh well, in the meantime, you could always check out "Away Team." It's ground combat. You control a squad of 4-6 dudes.

I keep saying this but my ideal game would be something like Battlefied 1942, or rather Battlefield 2. The gameplay lasts forever. You could have shuttles and stuff in that.
