How I would have loved to have seen THAT ep.

Maybe the transporters are involved in some way.

they were probably smart enough to go before duty and they probably did say captain, can i use the bathroom, they just didn't want to waste airtime with them doing that.  you don't see the movies based in our time period with people going to the bathroom, at least not that often.

All of the crew quarters have bathrooms, and there is a door to the "head" on the bridge of the Enterprise-D

No, they don't use "transporters" or "replicators"....

Every Quarters have a bathroom,

They use Sonic Showers to take a bath.

As for wastes, i think its hidden within the walls so no one can see it. When they want to use it it'll come out like the way basins come out when they want to wash their hands.

As in Enterprise, Trip explained what happens to the wastes.

& in their era, i believe they can hold themselves for a long time before needing to go to the toilet.

According to our nowadays research, scientists are studying animals like the Polar Bears to help us control our bladders better.

So in Trek's time, they may already have this capability.

They used a Transporter to beam a baby out of a Womb in startrek voyager.

I cant see why you cant beam your urine and bodily watse into space without first having to eject it out of your body.

It just so happens I have a "map" of original Constitution-class Enterprise.  There is a head located around corner of Spock's science station.  If not mistaken, they utilized it in the episode "Is There In Truth No Beauty" (and not for personal reasons).

We know for a fact that there are public lavatories on board from the episode of Voyager where... you klnow what, I forget what episode it is, but at one point, Neelix says they only have 6 working lavatories.

I have no memory of that at all,

ok, u may not know the episode's name, but can u recall anything else that happened in that episode?

So we can find out which episode is that to see if its true.

I asked myself this question a long time ago as a kid watching TNG. I came to the conclusion that either the replicated food is so perfectly balanced that they don't make waste (or if they do not much), or that it's not important at all for us to see them using the bathroom (unlike the importance of shower scenes?).

I remember the eppisode as well, from what I remember all ships functions were malfunctioning. I also think that it was the sequel to the one where they have the "Silver Blood" from the "Demon Class" planet. I think what happened is that the copy of Voyager started to revert to "Silver Blood" in this eppisode.
