The one discovered by Voyager is destroyed.

The Dreadnaught program by the Cardassians is cancelled, because they thought it was a complete failure.

uh, this is assuming you're refering to this Dreadnaught.

There are many types of Dreadnaught.

If you think of the "Dreadnought" you might also think of a TOS period class starship with three nacelles. This was basically a Constitution Class with an additional nacelle on top of the saucer section and was named after the first of her Class, USS Dreadnought, which was a related name of an earlier type of naval vessel in 1906, which set a new standard for battleshipdesign.

The future Enterprise in all good things was probably a revival of the original dreadnaught design.

Actually, if you are referring to the Federation dreadnought vessel of the TOS era, it was originally designed for the old Star Trek Starfleet Technical Manual and was called a Federation-class Mark X Class I dreadnought. There were 20 ships listed as being in this class. However, USS Dreadnought was NOT among them.

That was a DESCRIPTION, not a ship name.

Dreadnaught is more a type of ship. Such as cruiser or destroyer. I dont think they would call it a Dreadnaught class.

Thank you for your comment, but I want to add something to it. Most shipclasses are named after its first ship, so why would the Dreadnought Class be an exception? I still think there was a USS Dreadnought after all, but since it was never mentioned in any TOS episode or movie, that remains uncertain. Books are not considered cannon, although they can give a hint or so. (I also have a copy of the Technical MAnual, you discribe.)
