Hello there, until recently I was thinking about going to the Star trek Con in Vegas, and than I learned about the Dragon Con Sci-fi convention in Atlanta,
which do you think is better and in which ways?
thanks for the help

I have been to both and they are very different.  Las Vegas is all Star Trek and all they have is Star Trek actors. The programming consists of the actors on stage answering questions.

Dragon Con will have 20,000 people and they have the best programming.  They will have writers and others that will talk about the Sci-fi genre. Lots of choices of what to see and what to do. The parties at night are free and they are fun.  They have a band and the people just kinda hang out at the hotel until the wee hours of the morning. It is not Star Trek focused, but sci-fi focused.  The dealer room is 3 times the size of Vegas and they have lots of really cool "stuff".  The vegas show is mainly limited to star trek.

If you are a hard core trekkie, the Vegas show is better, if you like Sci-Fi in general, Dragon Con is better.
