It was totally awesome! I went on both the Borg and Klingon rides. The sets are very 'realistic' and the acting is pretty good. It made me feel like I was actually on a ship.

I went in April, I had been before a coupla years ago.  I found the 'original' Klingon ride to be great, but I was dissappointed by the Borg experience ride.  I think the technolgy for 3D effects is better than ever before in this ride, unfortunately that isn't saying a whole lot.  I'm more of an active hands-on type of person, so the extended 'seated' period of the Borg experience was boring to me.  I won't reveal any specific spoilers, but I wasn't entertained by the other 'effects' either - I was more annoyed by them.

I think it probably costs more to pay for the actors and sets in the original ride (as well as the fact of much smaller seating), so financial reasons were a consideration in the creation of the new ride's design I'm sure.  I'm 36 years old and I've been to other rides (in other parks) whose design clearly  influenced the Borg ride.  They were largely more entertaining IMO.  I give the Borg experience a 'generous' 5 out of 10.  On the other hand, I give the Klingon ride (even with it's dated graphics and hokey premise) an 8 out of 10.

I remember seeing the trailer online for the Star Trek Exp at home, I was totalluy blown away by it and immediately went round to my cousins house to tell him about it and get him to go online and watch it. We both sat there like a couple of teenage kids (no offense) in complete excitement about the whole thing. But at the end of the day, we both knew the chances of going were pretty much non existant.

Then I met my wife (on this board as it happens) and she made it possible for me to go to the ST Exp (with her of course, in fact, we spent our honeymoon there) I was totally blown away by the whole thing, we had dinner in Quarks bar which was a cool place to be. I wont give away any spoilers, but I found the whole thing to be totally amazing. And it wouldn't have been possible without my wife.

So a big big big thank you is due to her for that.

I just got back from there.  It is completely awesome.  Totally undescribable.  I went there three days in a row.  Rode Borg Invasion seven times and Klingon Encounter four times.  :bored:

I went to it back when it was the first experience.  This year we're having a Star Trek Thanksgiving and my husband and I are going back.  Sooo excited.  It's a great package - the Nemesis package at the LV Hilton.  Very reasonable.

Just went there this past weekend. Had an absolutely awesome time.
We attended the Halloween party at Quark's.
The folks working the atttractions really get into their roles.
We didn't dress up Trek for Halloween, but there were plenty of folks who did.
In our group there were two Vulcan Ambassadors, several Starfleet officers, an albino Klingon, and a couple of Andorians.
Can't wait to go back!

I strongly recommend this to any Star Trek fan.  The display of the timeline is, as a great Vulcan will one day say, fascinating.  Lots of display cases with props from every incarnation of Star Trek.  My wife and I got our pictures taken with Capt. Kirk's crew, and then sitting in Capt. Picard's chair.  The Klingon Abduction ride starts with a simulated beaming, and ends with a mini-roller coaster ride that never actually leaves the room.  The Borg Invasion is a 3D Imax presentation with plenty of surprises.  And eating at Quark's is a fun experience in itself.  I drank Romulan Ale, and we saw Klingons, Ferengi and Borg circulating among the diners.  Yes, it's pricey, but you can spend an entire day there and bring home memories and keepsakes that you'll cherish for a long time.

Live long and prosper, all!
