So before I quote the Associated Press Article, how about a poll? What will be "Significant" in the findings?

A. Water is found on Mars.
B. Cockroaches are found on Mars.
C. Richard C. Hoagland's ancestors have been found on Mars.
D. Richard C. Hoagland has been found on Mars.
E. Richard C. Hoagland's conspiracy theories that U.S. government "Bad Guys" are stopping U.S. exploration efforts are proven to be true.
F. Richard C. Hoagland's conspiracy theories that U.S. government "Bad Guys" are stopping U.S. exploration efforts are proven to be false.
G. Mars Opportunity Rover is sending a mysterious message "Renew ENTERPRISE! We Martians LOVE to see that human T'Pol's ****s!
H. Mars Opportunity Rover is sending a mysterious message "Renew ENTERPRISE! We Martians also demand more screen time for Hoshi Sato! Without her we would never be understand ENTERPRISE! With her, we are not quite yet sure that we do!
I. Mars Opportunity Rover has sent a message back to Earth "Me and Spirit, the Borg, will assimilate you!"

Okay, so here's the story:

Quote
LOS ANGELES  NASA plans to announce "significant findings" about the history of water on Mars discovered by its Opportunity rover , which has been studying rocks and soil for evidence that the Red Planet was once a wetter place that could have been hospitable to life.

"The primary mission of the rovers really dealt with the history of water on Mars and we'll be reporting new findings that bear on that," NASA spokesman Don Savage said Monday from Washington, D.C. "I can't go into any detail without telling you what it was."

The findings were to be released Tuesday during a press conference at National Aeronautics and Space Administration headquarters in Washington.

Other than a statement characterizing the findings as "significant," the space agency revealed no details in advance. However, participants in the twin rover mission managed by Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., said last week that scientists were excited by data that the Opportunity rover was sending back to Earth. Opportunity has been studying an outcropping of layered rock close to its landing site in a small crater on an area of Mars (search) called Meridiani Planum. The six-wheel robot has been using microscopic photography, a rock-abrasion tool that grinds off surface layers and spectrometers to determine the composition of the outcropping, particularly a piece dubbed "El Capitan."

While Opportunity has stayed close to its landing site to explore the outcropping, its twin rover, Spirit, has been traveling on the other side of the planet, studying rocks and soil en route to a big crater named "Bonneville" that scientists hope will give the rover a view of geology below the surface.

I report. You decide.

Knowing NASA significant means they found what could be interpreted as a possible fossil with the possibility of evidence there was once water.

I hope they shock me and prove me wrong.

Well, we have the answer here:

HERE

In a nutshell, Opportunity has found itself in a dry lakebed, not unlike the Edwards Air Force Base dry lakebed now used for emergency Shuttle landings and a great number of test projects over time, including today.

NASA is not yet willing to publically confirm the suspicion that Conservative Martians depleted the natural resources in a link to Mars Halliburton L.L.C. or that the civilization disappeared and crumbled around them following cultural acceptance of gay marriage "rights."

And based on the pictures that NASA has NOT evaluated as proof of life on Mars, I do believe based on the link they have indeed found fossilized life on Mars embedded in the rocks that look nearly identical to the fossils I studied in the limestone of Southeastern Kansas. For the record, long ago ... long long ago, Kansas was actually the floor of an ocean, and a great number of the old fossilized animals and plants, the more interesting of which are the trilobites - it does not surprise me to see similar fossilized life form on Mars, and I do believe it can be fairly stated based on that picture that today could be the day where the first real evidence came in that suggests that when life was in what would become Kansas limestone, it was also on Mars.

well, it turns out to be A
they have found evidence that that area was originally completely under water, also that the conditions where right for life but they have said they still have no idea of whether life existed or not

One step at a time.

How bodies in this system have been landed on to anylize?  Earth, The Moon, Mars.  How much of those have been covered? Very little.  How many bodies outside out system have we examined?  None!  Any answers we find are significant.
