I read in a book where the borg were invading a world that a person stabbed a fork or a piece of something in the sholder of a borg drone and it hit a certain circuit and created a loop that sent a message to the borg drone to do nothing and if someone where to break that loop, the borg drone would demeterialize.

That’s the best defence I know of.

Or just run like hell.

there is no good defence against the borg and if the borg try to assimilated you, you have two options, assimilation (not really funny) or suicide (also not really funny).

All I can say is that no borg has ever or will ever assimilate a good bowl of chili. It just can’t happen. If you have that in your gut when they come a callin’, just turn your back to them, bend over, and let ’em have it! YEE-HAW! Gotta love that red!

my guess would be projectile weapons. their shielding has not been shown to prevent matter from traveling through. also on Voyager’s endgame the transphasic torpedoes proved useful.

Everybody knows its the infinity modulator from star trek: away team for comp and PS2, although the best defence would be knights of the round materia.

A gun, i never seen any borg adapt to a bullet or anything as physical as that, and i never seen a borg have fast reflexes. If that doesn’t work RUN LIKE HELL!

True, Picard slaughterd the Borg in First Contact with that Tommy gun; maybe they should bring those back into commision.

Well, transphasic torpedoes are the best defense against the Borg when it comes to dealing with the entire cube. But when it comes to dealing with them individually, projectile weapons seem to work against them. Because as Captain Picard proved in "First Contact", the Tommy Gun worked exceptionally well, due to the fact that their personal force fields can only adapt to energy frequencies (like those of phasers) and not that of solid objects. So there you have it.

Transphasics are offense. I would say that Voyager’s ablative armour is the best defense.
