STID: IMAX Box Office Results & New Music Featurette
By StarTrek.com Staff - May 16, 2013
Star Trek Into Darkness is now, at last, in theaters all across the United States – in IMAX theaters, in 3D theaters and in standard theaters. In other Star Trek Into Darkness news, Paramount Pictures reports that the film grossed a solid $3.3 million yesterday from IMAX screenings. Additionally, Paramount has released another STID featurette, “Into the Music.” The piece runs a minute and 21 seconds and centers on composer Michael Giacchino, who discusses the differences between the scores of Star Trek (2009) and the latest adventure. We think it’s cool that he had an Enterprise model dangling nearby for inspiration.
