Europe, you asked for it, and now it’s a reality: Star Trek Online, the free-to-play, massively multiplayer role-playing game, is now fully localized and supported in French and German. Players in Germany and France can – in their own respective language -- lead their crew on missions and participate in competitions, events, in-game chats and episode missions that will immerse them ever deeper in the always-expanding Star Trek universe.
"The launch of Star Trek Online in Europe is the culmination of our efforts over the past several years to bring gamers the Star Trek universe on a truly massive scale," said Dan Stahl, Executive Producer for Star Trek Online. "We'd like to share this accomplishment with our community of players that have given their ongoing support to help us create an innovative game that captures Star Trek's essence and we are happy to offer a localized experience for our French and German-speaking players. Our team is looking forward to sharing this experience with players in Europe and across the world."
Star Trek Online, the first AAA MMO to feature space and ground combat, continues to grow in popularity. The game has expanded over the past two years with five seasons of content updates, delivered story-driven Feature Episode Series and introduced new systems that permit enhanced game-play, including the new Duty Officer system and spacewalk missions in zero gravity. Further, the recent conversion of Star Trek Online to a free-to-play model has enabled everyone who wants to experience the game to do so at no cost. Newcomers should be sure to click HERE to read the “About Star Trek Online" page, which will provide great information about the game.
To celebrate the news, Q will return for a special Double XP Bonus Weekend.
